The Bronzed and the Beautiful

So far we have 3 inches of snow in my little Minneapolis suburb with no sign of letting up! Sad face. I am channeling some summertime vibes though playing around with another item from UD’s Summer 2016 line; Beached Bronzer in Sun-Kissed. I have a love/hate relationship with bronzer – I don’ think that I have ever found one that wears remotely natural. From what I saw online about this bronzer, I was definitely excited. The lighter tone looked more peachy than orange and it was totally matte, I had to snag one.

The packaging is so adorable, the compact is a rose gold metallic on the bottom and a beach scene on the top. Plus, it comes equipped with a mirror for on the go touch ups! Out of the box, I was delighted to see how truly matte this powder was with no hint of shimmer or sheen. This is huge for me as bronzer with shimmer tends to make me look sweaty when I just want to appear flushed. IMG_20160323_171102The texture is glorious, silky smooth with no cakey powder feel. I didn’t go too crazy, with a light hand I applied a little color to the hollows of my cheeks (that are actually non-existent) and on my temples and love the subtle effect. This powder is super blendable and the peachy tone is perfect for my skin tone. I am lovin’ this touch of summer in the middle of this blizzard 🙂

I literally have no idea what my hair is doing in this photo – I am on ‘staycation’ 😉
