Let’s talk about primer…some more 😉 Since I have started using under eye concealer I have been struggling to find a primer to keep it from creasing. Currently, I am using Laura Geller’s Spackle Undereye Multicare Eye Primer and I am not crazy about it. I keep a couple of her spackles in the rotation and like the results so assumed this would be an instant favorite. Many primers that I was looking at claimed that they were suitable for lids as well as under eye but this particular one also claimed to fight aging and provide hydration. It is formulated with hyaluronic acid as well as oat kernel and does provide superb hydration. The consistency is perfect for the delicate eye area, it feels more like a cream than gel and it does feel soothing. The applicator does not really wow me since I don’t directly touch my face with it but it does come in a convenient squeeze tube.
I am unsure if it is due to my oily skin but this primer does not seem to absorb or dry, it just sits like a moisture barrier around my eyes. I love how it enhances the appearance of my makeup and would say that it looks better than without primer but it is all over at first blink! I have attempted to use concealers that I find to be a tad drying but no dice, I am creased before I leave the house. I even busted out the dreaded powder to see if I could set this product with no luck. I am a huge fan of makeup that doubles as skincare but I don’t think I will be repurchasing this particular product. I really want to love it, having such sensitive skin some eye products irritate my eyes but this one feels amazing. I don’t think that I have overly-creased eyes but am surprised that this product did not work for me. I guess I am still on the hunt for an undereye primer but am wondering what other gals are using to keep their undereyes creaseless?
