I have started keeping track of how my times I drop the f-bomb on my morning commute, I was up to about a dozen today. To put this in perspective, I only live 8 miles from where I work and it takes me roughly 15 minutes to get there. I just cannot even handle driving anywhere, for any amount of time. I leave earlier and earlier each day it seems but somehow I cannot beat the morons, how early does one have to get up to not deal with bad drivers? Where are these people going?! Back to the cursing though, I think I really need to rein it in – this has always been an issue for me. I was sent home from the 2nd grade for cussing; I had to make a pact with my dad that I could cuss at home as long as I didn’t at school. I don’t recall hearing a whole lot of cussing at home and honestly have no idea why I was such a delightful child 😀 I’ve broken this habit to a point in adulthood; I can obviously assess inappropriate cussing situations but still manage to find plenty of opportunities to utilize some of these more choice words 😉
This is a tag! I have been enjoying everyone’s Ride or Die tags inspired by the lovely Jaclyn Hill and it is just too much fun to pass up. Here are my Ride or Die beauty items, enjoy!
Primer: Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil, it is just awesome. Not only does it keep my makeup on all day, it keeps my skin happy and hydrated.
Foundation: When I need a base that is heavy duty enough to last all day, I reach for my TimeBalm foundation. This is a pan foundation, it is heavy but the shade match is perfect and it actually stays radiant all day. It is super easy to apply with a BB. I use Lighter Than Light and it is a perfect match. Not to mention, it is crazy affordable and a little goes a long way. I can build for days that I need full coverage or sheer out with a little serum when my skin is behaving.
Concealer: Another product from theBalm Cosmetics, this concealer is an absolute must have for me. I use loads of other concealers but when they aren’t doing the trick, I can always depend on this super pigmented concealer to cover what is ailing me. Again, it is heavy but with the right setting product it stays put all day.
Face Powder: No question Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder. I use this with a BB to set and bake every day, it is amazing. It doesn’t break up and it doesn’t look powdery, the finish is perfect. Plus, it smells pretty – I enjoy it anyway. For under-eyes, I use the peach toned version that I have only ever been able to find on Amazon.
Blusher: NARS The Multiple in Orgasm, the cream formula makes it easy to build the intensity or just wash on a little flush. It is very easy to use and convenient for traveling.
Bronzer: I think this Beached Bronzer is the only one that I own, I am not expert but this formula is very buttery, easy to blend and looks almost natural.
Highlight: It could be too soon to say but I have fallen in love with this illuminator from tarte. I have been using it every day, it wears so lovely and imparts a perfect glow. Still not crazy about the price tag…
Mascara: This is a switch for me, I have been using the tarteist Lash Paint more often recently. I don’t get a lot of length but it plumps my lashes up which makes them seem lusher and it doesn’t clump or smudge.
Lipstick: I have not worn a traditional lipstick in weeks and cannot think of any that I own that are must haves. I am criminally bad at applying lipstick and just avoid it.
Liquid Lipstick: I wear this almost every day, it is just so much easier for me to apply and maintain. But just one!? Sheesh, I guess I would go with Bleached from Lime Crime – it is a peachy nude and very versatile.
Lip Gloss: Not a gloss gal as of late but the Creme Brulee Butter Gloss from NYX is one that is always floating around my bag.
Lashes: I have not worn them often enough to know. Fake lashes are a calendar clearing event for me, I need about 2 hours and total silence. I watch beauty vloggers and their ability to apply lashes is some black magic shit.
Eyeshadow Palette: Violet Voss’s Holy Grail – I love all of my palettes but this one is very versatile and one that I hit pan on in just a few weeks which must mean that I love it!
Setting Spray: I use loads of sprays but this Spackle Mist by Laura Geller is stealing the show for longevity and flawless results.
Perfume: Amarige by Givenchy – call it granny perfume but it is my signature scent and I adore it. The jasmine tones are too dreamy.
That’s it, thanks for stopping by ❤
