MOTD Monday – Peaches & Green

So, I didn’t wear leggings on purpose – I left the house in tights and somewhere between my front door and my desk I managed to blow an enormous hole in them. I keep yoga gear in my car for after work and had a flat black pair of cotton leggings on hand. I know, I know – it was a bold, questionable move but it had to be done. I mean, they were clean and in good condition – no see through asses here but still *cringe* I don’t know what it is about leggings that make me so uncomfortable – I work out in them, I wear them at home and I wear yoga pants in public which are really the same as leggings without the taper. I wear nylons or tights to work every, single day so people see my legs and yet I am so uncomfortable in leggings! I was wearing a blazer and longer tunic – it wasn’t a bad outfit, I liked how my boots looked with the leggings. I see women wear leggings to work everyday and think nothing of it but dang, that was the longest day of my life.

For my first MOTD Monday I decided to do a green shimmer eye and peachy lips and cheeks. I used the shades White Peach and Luscious from the TooFaced Peach Palette. Question here, does it taste like peaches? I won’t say that I have tasted it but I feel as though I get a peach taste in my mouth when I am using it but is that just due to the scent being so pronounced. Anyway, before I start tasting makeup I also added a little Bless Her Heart from this palette then went in with Mermaid Vixen and Slaycation from the Drenched Metals palette and I have to say that I love this palette, it reminds me of mermaid tails. I used Slaycation and Huntress for my lower lid liner and Spacetime from UD for my upper. I am not crazy into eyeliner, I tend to not like the way it makes my eyes look so you won’t ever see me sporting a wing unless someone else talks me into it. Lastly for eyes, I used one of the many deluxe sample tubes of the Better Than Sex Mascara. Seriously, I have about 4 mini tubes and 2 full size and am coating this stuff on to use it up.

Foundation is the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte and concealer is the tarte Shape Tape. I could not sleep last night to save my life so I went double duty on the under eyes and used BareMinerals Stroke of Light brightener – not crazy about this stuff but I use it when I can. Powder is from Younique and can we all just take a moment to appreciate that pan – I am so proud! Blusher is Papa Don’t Peach and highlight is from the PeachGlo Palette. Lips are also Papa Don’t Peach which is a lovely mauve gloss, my lips are crazy chapped and I am on a matte lip ban. I don’t know how I feel about this lip product, it claims to be a lip oil but I don’t get that impression from it. It is high maintenance for a gloss, if that is even a thing. I will save that discussion for my review of the entire line though!

That’s it, one Monday down but so many more to look forward to 😛 Thanks for stopping by ❤

  1. I really love the new sweet peach lip oil gloss but do feel it’s really thick? It makes my lips feel great though so I have been wearing it a lot here recently. Good post. Makeup looks great! 👍

  2. great look! I look forward to your thorough sweet peach review. It does look like a high maintenance gloss, as in ANYTHING in it’s way will stick or ruin the look.. yeah? I can’t wait to get my hands on the palettes though!

    • Yay – thank you!! I’m aiming for Friday to have a post up on them. It’s hard to describe, I feel like I need a lip prep product to wear them. They are yummy though. Thanks for reading 😘

  3. Those shades look amazing, and I have a weakness for peach in general. The packaging of that TooFaced product is so appealing. I’d buy that in a heartbeat. Great review and very nice blog too.
