Product of the Week – Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser

The weather has me just climbing the walls – I don’t even like spring/summer but I want to see the sun! I always thought that I would love living in the Pacific Northwest, I’d love to live in Seattle but we are in about day 7 of overcast and I am over it. It isn’t raining, it isn’t doing anything – just cloudy and dirty looking. I am over it, moving on. I know that I just shared a skincare post but for the Product of the Week, I am sharing a face wash! I mentioned really enjoying this product over another rose cleanser that I tried as a sample…

Best of March & Some Empties

I love how people who grew up on typewriters and fax machines complain about how slow computers are and that you have to sign in and meow, meow, meow. YOU USED A TYPEWRITER, the fuck are you talking about – I think it is a complaining just to complain thing and it annoys the dickens out of me. I mean, does anyone remember dial-up? It was a nightmare and still wasn’t even that bad,  honestly. Anyway, I am cheating by combining my monthly favourites and empties into one post because 1) I am lazy and 2) I just didn’t have that many of either but let’s get to it! My…

    Wednesday Reveal – March LipMonthly

I think that Lip Monthly is fast becoming my favourite subscription box, I love having new lippies to play with and the contents feel over all more cohesive than some of other boxes. This month was very spring themed with bright colours, I received a liquid lippie, a gloss, a lipstick and the beauty surprise was a sheet mask. The bag is a small, cotton minty green thing with a geometric pattern. Here is what I received: Laritzy Liquid Lipstick in Lola – This is a lovely orange red lippie, it almost reminds me of the colour of poppies and I liked the undertones with my complexion. It it a very…

    Simply Sustainable

I am changing the name of my blog, no I’m not – but perhaps I should…? More on this later,  I think there are already half a dozen blogs, a bread shop, a remodeling company and a solar energy company with this name 😛 This post is a little different today, as someone who cares a lot for the environment and the future of our planet it saddens me that many sanctions and regulations are slated to be repealed today. But it doesn’t make me lose hope that as private citizens, we can have an impact on what happens. As Americans, we depend on the government (a lot) and that…

    Best of March – Skincare

I adore Charlotte Tilbury, I don’t own many of her products but she is flawless and I love watching her videos. I always wanted to be a super saucy redhead but I’m more of a super regular redhead 😣 At any rate, I’m watching her talk about her Magic Cream *le sigh*  Whilst I am not using her fabulous cream I wanted to share my March skincare favourites. I’d like to preface this with saying that I’m not a dermatologist, skin care is very personal and what works for me may not work for everyone. I have oily/combo skin that is also sensitive and acne prone – yay. But here…

    #mistakefreemakeup with Fiona Stiles

I thought that Easter was like, this weekend – apparently I need to get to mass a little more often 😜 But now that I am thinking about it, Lent started quite some time ago. Why did everyone put their Easter candy out early? I think everything is going to be stale by the time we get to opening baskets. I love Easter baskets, I love everything about them – making them, selecting all of the  bits to put in them, the ribbon and fake grass *sigh* I love the teenie outfits and patent leather shoes, it definitely gives Christmas a run for its money. Anyway, if you didn’t know…

    Sample Saturday -Air Supply…(Repair)

So, super big thanks to Microsoft and yet another shitty Windows 10 update that has totally disabled my near new laptop. If I have to buy a new laptop, I’m buying Apple. I’m using the WordPress app that I just don’t love – apologies in advance if this (and future posts) seem a little wonky. Confession, I was so excited to use this product because I thought it was Air Supply and I was all, how cool is that? Now I just need a hairspray called Twisted Sister and all of my childhood dreams will be realized. It isn’t, it is Air Repair and I am still a little bitter about it and…

Product of the Week – Wet ‘n Wild Cover All Primer

I feel so thrifty when I look at what products I am using the most and they are drugstore brands! If I was one of those less is more kinda’ gals then I would be saving so much money, I can literally do my whole face in drugstore brands. But I am not one of those gals, I am a more is more gal and I like having options. Anyway, I picked up a few priming products from Wet ‘n Wild and so far my favorite has been the Coverall Primer. For 4.99 you get a little under an ounce (.8 I think but mine doesn’t say) of product that claims to minimize pores, fill fine…

March Fail – Perfume or Poison?

And not Dior Poison, I mean actual poison. I don’t usually have such strong feelings about products and  will still find a use for something even if I am slightly disappointed but this one is pretty bad. I recently used up all of the bottles of perfume that I had in my collection and wanted to try something totally new. I settled for Mon Guerlain, I read that it was a tribute to today’s femininity a la Angelina Jolie and I assumed that it would be an update on some of their classics that would incorporate flavours of their signature fragrances. Lavender, jasmine, sandalwood and vanilla are supposed to be the key notes, these are additions…

    Wednesday Reveal – March GlamBag

I don’t work in marketing (obviously) but I go absolutely gaga for a really fine piece of media. I think that I missed my calling and should go back to school, oh wait…:D My sub-boxes are so late this month with all of the storms, the anticipation! After drooling over the pretty, powder pink bag for weeks now my Ipsy has arrived and it is everything and more. It is also already covered in cat hair, I can’t have anything nice. I don’t know how I will use it – I want it to stay perfectly pink and oh-la-la forever. I really like the fold-over design, you can stuff these bags with so…
