Skin Care

Best of March – Skincare

I adore Charlotte Tilbury, I don’t own many of her products but she is flawless and I love watching her videos. I always wanted to be a super saucy redhead but I’m more of a super regular redhead 😣 At any rate, I’m watching her talk about her Magic Cream *le sigh*

Whilst I am not using her fabulous cream I wanted to share my March skincare favourites. I’d like to preface this with saying that I’m not a dermatologist, skin care is very personal and what works for me may not work for everyone. I have oily/combo skin that is also sensitive and acne prone – yay. But here are some products that I love, enjoy!

First up is a product that I’ve only used for about a month but it is so lovely. I received a sample of the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream and knew this had to be in my routine. It is a heavy duty cream that feels so incredibly lightweight, it keeps my dry patches happy but doesn’t make my oily areas worse. My skin feels balanced all day and it wears great under makeup. I’ve been wearing this for both daytime and nighttime hydration – it is amazing and super affordable.
My favourite face spray is still the Aloe, Herbs and Rose Water spray from Mario Badescu. It is hydrating, nourishing, smells divine and now comes in an 8 oz.

I’m still enjoying Sunday Riley’s Good Genes but I am going to switch it up when I hit empty to a similar product that is not formulated with silicone. This is an amazing product that has done a tremendous job at brightening and smoothing my complexion and if your skin jives with silicone, this might be perfect for you!

I’ve been using 2 pixi skintreats (not together 😝) that are also keeping my skin bright and break out free! First are the Glow Peel Pads, these are like Glow Tonic on steroids. You just massage the pad into your skin and the 20% glycolic acid schlep off all kinds of funk and dry skin, after 3 minutes you rinse and your skin is glowing. I use maybe once a week as they are very potent. The Peel & Polish is also crazy amazing, this pearly pink, gritty potion literally resurfaces your face. It doesn’t burn or sting but you can see the dead skin peeling while you massage. This one smells really nice too which surprised me, I was expecting it to smell acrid based on how potent it is. I use this polish maybe once a month and I love how it makes my skin feel.

I don’t want to jinx myself but my skin is in a really fabulous place right now. That being said, I’m still waiting for it to turn on me at any moment 😜

Thanks for stopping by ❀
