BoxyCharm,  Subscription Boxes

Wednesday Reveal – March Boxycharm

I am arguably the last person to receive their March BoxyCharm but I am still going to write about it! I mentioned a few posts back that I was on the waiting list for 4’ish months and had several other boxes that I was receiving, I emailed their CS team to let them know that I wanted to be removed from the subscription. Well, that didn’t happen but I am not mad about it because this box was so worth the wait!

I was giddy to tear into this box and was really surprised at the quality of how the items were wrapped for shipping – they weren’t just tossed in an empty box. The fact that each product was security/hygiene sealed stuck out to me – this probably does not matter to most but it made the items feel much less sampl-y. The theme was Creepy Cute, it was like pastel Halloween in March – I am here for this.

The 2 items that I was most excited to receive are from RealHerI have never tried this brand and I appreciate the unique marketing. I like the cutesy names of products too like First Kiss, Crush blah, blah, blah but a berry toned liquid lipstick called I Am Fearless – you feel like so much more of a badass swiping this on. I received the matching liner in I Am Unique. I have not worn them for more than a couple of hours, I love cooking dinner in really bold lips – is that weird 😛 I will come back with a wear update when I have the opportunity to put them to the test.

Next up is a primer that I already know and love but surprisingly have not had in my stash for some time, the Photo Finish Primer from Smashbox. This stuff is amazing, it is very lightweight but makes your skin flawless. It feels lighter than the Porefessional in my opinion but you get all of that pore minimizing, texture smoothing goodness. I love this stuff, happy to have it in my bag again!

I also received the super fluffy Kabuki Fan Brush from Crown, this has a ton of bristles and provides a nice wash of highlight. Another brand that I have not tried but this brush feels nice, we shall see if it holds up to a washing.

Lastly, I received the Urban Rustic Trio from Naked Cosmetics and thought this was going to be the dud of the box. I just didn’t love these colours when I looked at them online and how is this palette over $40?! But I am impressed, the pigment is amazing and the shades are amazing. This palette is compact and comes with a mirror, really lovely.

I loved my first box, I am so pleased! I could wear all of these products together as they are incredibly complimentary and that makes the box feel more curated. This subscription is a little pricier at $21 but the quality definitely shows.

Thanks for stopping by <3
