Wednesday Reveal – May Glambag

It just doesn’t feel like summer or spring even, it feels like fall! I had the heat back on only two days ago but I cannot complain about the rain I suppose. The bee garden is thriving, we had 9 bee visitors on Sunday. Only 4 of which I am certain were different bees as I saw them at the same time. Do bees have unique markings? Unsure, anyway – even though the warm weather isn’t here quite yet the Ipsy Glambag for this month is giving me summer vibes (I need to strike that word from my vocabulary)! I think the theme is Summer Friday…? I never know, here is what came in my bag:

How cute is the bag by the way? I didn’t think that I would be into it but the design is adorable and I think it will be great for packing toiletries or even face sprays that always tend to leak on me. I like it. Here is what actually came in my bag:

Urban Decay Afterglow in Sin – Already own the full size and it is a favourite product. These highlighters are super smooth and buttery, they impart a subtle, lit from within glow. I supposed that you could build it up but they aren’t super highlighting on first swipe. This a champagne highlight but I think it has a bit of a pink shift.

Vasanti Cosmetics Exfoliating Cleanser – This is supposed to treat dullness, fine lines, acne and scarring…? It is formulated with micro-crystals, it feels like ground up rice and I found it to be fairly abrasive on my skin. It was scratchy instead of gritty, that makes no sense but you know what I mean. It smells nice but my face was a little red and burn-y after using it. Unsure if I will give it another try…

Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense Eyeshadow Duo in Electric – It’s super. What is with that name, why are there two supers? I’m almost turned off to the product because of that asinine name. Perfect timing though since I was just saying that I wanted to try this brand! The packaging is very cute and the shadows are soft, not as pigmented as I had hoped but I have not used them with brushes yet.

Cailyn Cosmetics Pure Lust Extreme Matte Tint + Velvet in Practicable – Again, who comes up with these names?! PSA marketing teams everywhere, fewer words and skip the puns. It is supposed to be hydrating, long-wearing and smudge proof. It is described as a Cinnamon Nude. K – just because you tack on the word nude does not make it so. Fire Engine Red Nude, Olive Green Nude, Black as Night Nude, see – doesn’t work. I have not tried it yet as it is that 90’s brown shade that does not work for me. Also, I am starting to think that there is something that companies are hiding with these scented, matte lippies – what is in there that needs to be covered with a saccharine scent? Will I stop buying them, probs not (another word that must be stricken).

Royal and Langnickel Precision Angled Brush – I don’t know what this brush is for…? It seemed like a shadow brush but it is huge. It is apparently a multi-use brush, I love their brushes and am sure that I will use this for something!

Here are some swatches:

That is it! Overall, a decent bag and I love that I keep getting new brushes. I should do a round up of all of the fabulous brushes that I have received so far, not a bad one in the bunch!

Thanks for stopping by <3
