First Impression: tarte Clay Stick

I wonder if UPS people know how much joy they bring to people who have been obsessively tracking their packages and literally bolt to the door when it finally arrives? It must be a very rewarding career 😀 I was going to share my Sephora haul but I feel so weird about sharing hauls, which is weird because I love reading haul posts but it makes me feel weird. How many times can I say the word weird? I am super into makeup but I also read and do other things, just so you know 😛 I dunno, I’ll think about it. Let’s talk about how many face mists I just tested out – like 5, I don’t want to talk about it.

I do want to share one item from my haul because I am so excited about it. It is the tarte Clay Stick Foundation that I have been dying to try. First things first, I love the package – so sleek and matte. I ordered this online and I chose to use the foundation shade finder on Sephora and I think they definitely sent the wrong shade…? I mean, the description sounds right – light skin with pink undertone but Light Beige looks super orange. Anyway, I swatched it already and am probably just going to have to make it work. The formula is so smooth and buttery – the swatch blended like a dream. The only thing that concerns me there is that it might be lighter coverage, but I am still excited to try this out! Currently this foundation is offered in 12 shades and retails for $39 and I think it is a Sephora exclusive. I would recommend going to the store to find your shade as I don’t know how much faith I put in the online shade finder.

Have you tried it? Thanks for stopping by ❤
