A Medley of Minis – Sephora Rewards

I ate Cool Cauliflower for lunch, betcha’ didn’t know that cauliflower could be cool 😀 It is just regular cauliflower that is dyed with dyes from other veggies; there were orange, purple and yellow pieces. I think it is supposed to be marketed to kids but I thought it was cool, I was a lame little kid – I am a proud, lame adult. I don’t have an August sub-box yet but I did cash is some points at Sephora recently on a few new rewards. It’s like I curated my own sample box – they have some good 100 point rewards if you have points that you have been hanging onto.

I am still on the hunt for a new fragrance which has been more difficult than I thought, I decided to try my luck on these rollerball minis:

Stella by Tocca – I had high hopes for this one, it is woodier than I expected but I really like it so far. I definitely smell the blood orange and sandalwood but not picking up the white freesia. Definitely a unique scent, this could be the one.

Miu Miu L’eau Bleu – This one is interesting…? The notes are honeysuckle, lily of the valley and akigalawood – I like it when I first apply it but once it dries down it smells like rubbing alcohol instead of perfume, not my favourite.

Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris – This one is too sweet for me, it is seemingly just a generic, floral fragrance. The notes sounded interesting; strawberry, raspberry, pear, orange flower, jasmine – none of which I really picked up on, it is just sweet.

I chose two skincare samples, I love it when they have luxury skincare samples. I chose the tatcha Water Cream, I have had my eye on this product since it came out but haven’t been able to commit to a brand that I have never tried before that is so expensive. I know,  I know – the ancient Geisha secrets but I am not sold. There are so many gurus that rave about this brand, we’ll see how this cream works out for me. How cute is this mini jar?

Sunday Riley UFO Ultra-Clarifying Dry Oil – I have used this a few times and like it for spot treatment but not a fan as an all-over face oil. I disagree with this being called a dry oil, I have used dry oils on my hair and skin before and usually they absorb immediately but this one takes ages. It is a potent spot treatment though, Sunday Riley just released a sulfur mask that I have my eye on.

Finally, I have been dying to try the CoverFX Custom Enhancing Drops, this one is in moonlight and is so lovely! These can be mixed with foundation or I added them to my tinted moisturizer for some glow and really liked the way that looked as well.

I haven’t spent any points for awhile, I am glad that they keep adding a variety of products – it is always nice to be able to give something a whirl before purchasing it. I hope they add more skincare, that is probably my favourite thing to spend points on.

Thanks for stopping by <3
