Best Of's

Best of August

It was an interesting month for beauty and me, after organizing my collection I realized that there are a lot of products that I should be using up and I have been making an effort to reduce my stash! Many of my favourites this month are products that I have owned for too long but have a renewed fondness for!

I have been using these three face products recently and talk about a dream team! I purchased the Porefessional Matte Rescue so long ago and do recall really liking it but then must have moved on to something else. This is a gel product that I use all over my face, it does keep my skin matte but also not too dry. Then I apply a bit of the original Porefessional on areas of texture, this stuff is way too drying for me to use on its own but plays nice over the gel primer. To add a lot of coverage that still looks dewy and vibrant, I then apply the Infallible Pro-Glow foundation. This base stays all day and just looks really flawless, it has been my go to for the past few weeks and I am glad to be using these up.

It is odd that I have never been a huge fan of Benefit products aside from their blushers and yet 3 of their products made my favourites…? I won’t lie, I am trying to use the Cheekathon cheek palette up so that I can purchase their new face palette and it’s a good thing that I love it! This palette started my addiction to their blushers and bronzers, I think that it is such an amazing value and gives you an opportunity to try a few of their signature products.

I am still using and loving the Milk Makeup Cooling Water Stick, this product provides a nice layer of moisture that is super easy to apply. After my toner is on, I just swipe this all over the super dry areas of my face and my skin soaks it up.

The Confidence in a Cleanser is a new pick up but I am already obsessed. It is luxurious and creamy, it makes my face feel so balanced. I have been using this as the last step in my cleansing routine in the evening – it makes my face feel clean, hydrated and soft plus it smells yummy.

The Pixi Peel & Polish made a come back in my peel routine, this stuff is amazing! I use it once a week for baby soft skin.

My addiction to TonyMoly sheet masks continues, they offer a variety of unique flavours and are a treat to use. They aren’t super potent but I like them.

Finally, KISS lashes have been my go-to lash since I purchased my first pack a few weeks ago. I was just blown away at how natural they looked and how flawlessly they blended with my natural lashes. I didn’t realize that they were made of human hair and that did creep me out a bit. But, human hair for the win! My lashes are so light and falsies tend to be so black that you can always tell a little but these are like, natural hair black and they just work. My only complaint is that they have quite a lot of adhesive that sticks them to the package insert and they are hard to roll off. Other than that, they are super affordable and have a few different style to choose from!

That’s it for my August favourites, I don’t think that I have very many empties but will do a short post for them in the next couple of days.

Thanks for stopping by <3
