Best of September

It’s 48 degrees outside, what a glorious morning. October is my favourite month, I hope it doesn’t fly by 😦 I don’t have a ton of favourites, this was another month of trying to use products up and most are products that I have had for so long because I simply don’t like them. But I did have a few products that I loved this month.

This powder, what can I say about the Dermablend Loose Setting Powder? It is amazing, it is finely milled, not too heavy and does an incredible job of keeping my makeup in place all day. It’s fairly affordable too in comparison to other high-end setting powders.

I randomly busted out my bag of Colourpop Super Shock pots and have been using the Butterfly Beach and Wisp cheek products non-stop. I don’t use them on my cheeks, they are just a bit tan for me but they are perfect for a center of the eyelid highlight, inner corner shimmer and I forget how dreamy this formula is.

Honestly, I did just buy Gabrielle but it is a lovely fragrance and one that I don’t see myself getting bored with.

I did not give the tatcha Camelia Cleansing Oil a good review when I first tested it out but it has grown on me. It is much lighter than what I am used to when it comes to cleansing oils but it gets the job done. I enjoy the subtle scent and that it makes my skin so soft.

Call me cliché but I busted out two warm toned palettes this month, I have enjoyed Modern Renaissance for a long time but Naked Heat took some working with for me to like it. This palette swatched like a dream but lacked something on the eyes. I find that it is a bit finicky and works best with only a handful of brushes but when it works, it is gorgeous.

I never talk about Dior Show, this is the best mascara to achieve voluminous, non-chunky, blackest of black lashes. The brush is so fluffly, it coats each and every lash. This mascara doesn’t crumble or flake, it is stunning. Worth it.

I have also had a blast getting prepped for Halloween and busting out decorations, checking out craft stores and getting my movie posts ready for 31 Nights of Horror that starts tomorrow evening! It is going to be a fun month 😛

  1. I 100% agree that Diorshow is totally worth it, such an amazing mascara. I really wish colourpop was easier to get in Canada, I’ve heard so many amazing things about the brand but never gotten to try it. Loved all of the pictures btw! xx
