I received a few emails regarding Charlotte Tilbury’s Instant Eye Palette that was available yesterday and this is all that I have to say about it:
I was expecting something way more unique but what a disappointment, it literally looks like every other nude palette that every brand has. Anyway, I finally ordered a tube of Moon Jelly lip gloss that I have been wanting for ages but never committed to. I don’t know why, I definitely wear gloss – I will even freshen up a matte lip with a little gloss if it is looking too dry. I guess that I don’t like to splurge on glosses, it just doesn’t feel as luxurious or sophisticated as splurging on a fancy tube of lipstick. This gloss though, it is everything that I had hoped for and more.
First, holy glitter – this stuff is packed and yes you do feel it but as long as I don’t smoosh my lips together obsessively I don’t notice it. Moon Jelly is clear and has a rainbow glitter effect and it reflects different colours in the light, so lovely. I did notice that my lips looked a little blue around the edges when it was time to touch up. I love the gloss formula, it isn’t too heavy or sticky and sets so nice on the lips. I don’t feel like my lips are caked in goop and it doesn’t collect in the corners of my mouth. It is faintly vanilla scented but this didn’t last very long, the doe foot is perfect and deposits plenty of product with just one pump. The tube is nothing to rave about, just standard plastic but it does have a nice weight. I think it is stunning, I should not have waited so long to jump on this bandwagon! I also picked up Girly which is a coral shade with the same rainbow glitter – I think it is the glitter that really makes this product unique and more than just your average gloss. I cannot wait to try these out over other lippies and I am definitely going back for more!
Thanks for stopping by <3
