Gabrielle by Chanel

After testing out seemingly 100 perfume samples these last couple of months, I finally settled on a new fragrance. It’s one that I wasn’t particularly interested in until I tested it on a whim and loved it. It is the new scent from Chanel, Gabrielle. I am not usually drawn to Chanel scents, I have a bottle of No. 5 and will wear it on occasion but it’s not my favourite. That being said, Gabrielle is very Chanel-esque and may not be for those who don’t like their fragrances but it is also just different enough to be perfect. The notes are light and floral with orange blossom, ylang-ylang, jasmine and tuberose. The dry down for me is mostly the jasmine and tuberose which I really enjoy. It lasts decently well on me, I was still faintly fragrant after 8 hours or so. Gabrielle is a fresh, floral scent for everyday wear and I am surprised at how much I love it. The bottle feels cheap, I compared it to my other Chanel bottle and it is very thin in comparison, I also think the spritzer is gold painted plastic. This is really my only complaint, they should have spent more money on the decanter than the super bizarre ad campaign. Honestly, it’s a good thing that I didn’t watch that pretentious bullshit prior to purchasing this fragrance or else I would have passed πŸ˜›

It’s really lovely and feminine and I’d recommend as a day time fragrance that isn’t too cloying but still noticeable. This fragrance is available at Sephora and ULTA.
