Sunday Funday – Skinny Dip

Sunday morning, not a drop of coffee in the house. I completely forgot to buy pods, I use the Coborn’s app for groceries and sometimes I will get searching around on it and forget about what I was looking for. I was looking for flavoured pods, didn’t find any that I wanted and totally skipped adding regular pods. It’s going to be a long day and if that’s the worst that happens – it will also be a pretty great day πŸ˜€

I have been loving all things metallic and for once, I think that I am actually on trend this season. Skinny Dip by Jouer is the ultimate palette for high-shine, metallic eyes and I am obsessed with this palette. The Skinny Dip collection was released this summer, it included lip toppers, highlighters and this 6 pan palette of ultra foil shimmer shadows. The packaging is very lovely, sleek and gold with a nice mirror. The shades are of course, stunning with a selection of highlight shades and dark, sultry shades. The best way to apply these are with a damp, flat shadow brush or with your fingers. With a damp brush, the shadows have a high-shine foil finish and a flatter, metallic finish using your fingers. Both finishes are lovely, the method of application depends in what type of finish you want! The only shade that I struggle with is Magic Hour – I have picked up too much product which causes it to crumble once it is on the eyes. I have been able to make it work with just a tap of the brush and building the shadow gradually with a packing motion.

For foils, I think this palette is incredibly user friendly, the shadows don’t have a ton of fall out and it isΒ easy to achieve a high-impact, high-shine eye look with this palette.
