Sephora Gift Set Wishlist

Apparently, Violet Voss is coming to Sephora and I am a little bummed about it. I guess this does make the brand more accessible but in all honesty, they have such hard time keeping items in stock on their own site – how are they going to stock another retailer? Also, Sephora kinda’ sucks – I would much rather keep purchasing products directly from Violet Voss and I will but this partnership doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

Even though Sephora really does mostly suck, they have some amazing gift sets. I have already said that gift sets are either a great introduction to the a brand or a complete waste, I am hoping that these will be the former!

I recently got to try a couple of items from Amore Pacific and they were amazing, they are also ridiculously expensive. I have been using The Essential Creme Fluid as my daytime moisturizer and I love it, this set includes a full-size of their fluid and deluxe samples of their Treatment Enzyme Peel and Moisture Bound face mist. The Green Tea Me Gorgeous trio retails at $108 which is a steal given the fact that the fluid itself retails for $98.

They also released a comprehensive collection of samples in their Essentials Collection, this set includes 6 products and retails for $65, my only concern is that the sample sizes will be itty-bitty at this price point and might not be as good of a sampling of the brand.

…and if you have not guessed by now, I am complete skincare junkie 😀 Next, is this Coco Rose Luxe Hydration Trio from Herbivore. You get to sample their 3 signature rose products for $39.

Farmacy has a very lovely Honey Harvest Kit that includes a full-sized face cream and two additional samples for $45.

This next set are already products that I have used and enjoyed, the Bite Beauty Agave Kisses Set includes their agave lip scrub, mask and balm for $20.

BITE

For some actual makeup, I want this little holiday duo from Dior – you get a full-size mascara and an eye-shadow compact for $29.50 which is basically like getting the shadows for free!

DIOR

Just like 10 kits and 100’s of minis, I think that is reasonable 😉 What are your thoughts on the sample kits, worth it or no?

Thanks for stopping by ❤

  1. That Farmacy Honey Harvest Kit is calling to me! I’ve been wanting to try those items for ages.
I’m wondering if Burberry will have a set – last year they had a good one but I was too late to grab one.

    1. I have been wanting to try their new face cream for ages and I already know that the other 2 items are pretty good! Ooohhh…I will have to keep an eye out for that. I don’t know if I have ever tried anything from them or not…

    1. Haha! Well, their customer service in the metro isn’t great and we have some big stores here that are destination shopping locations (MOA) and having worked in retail, I expect better. Also, you have to spend a ridiculous amount of money to be a part of their Rouge Program and the benefits don’t really make it worth it. ULTA gives so much more back to their customers at a fraction of the cost to be in their rewards program. I was in line at MOA and a gal was telling the clerk that she had missed Rouge status by 9 dollars or some small amount and the year had expired on her VIB status so she had to start over. The clerk’s response was – spend more money this year. I set all of my stuff down and walked out. Those are my top reasons 🙂

      1. Fair. I understand the issue with the amount of money it takes to be rouge. I agree that it is ridiculous. I feel like I get great service at all the stores near me, but that definitely is a location thing. I actually prefer them to Ulta. I don’t know, I just can’t get into Ulta that much. I’ll shop there every so often, but if I can get what I need from Sephora I always go there first.

      2. Yea – definitely depends n the location! I live in an area where there are like 2 ULTA stores to every Sephora so it makes it easy for me to go in there. But if I can only get something at Sephora, I will order it. At least there are options!
