    Blogmas Post Ideas!

So, I changed up my blog site to something a little cleaner and brighter – I loved the tiled layout but I wanted the ability to feature posts for Blogmas and this design includes this feature. Which brings us to today’s blog topic, I won’t lie – I am in no position to give anyone advice about anything and can’t imagine this will be helpful 😛 I go to other, better, more put together blogs to get ideas – not my own. But, I am doing it anyway because I have been stumped for Blogmas post ideas and this might be helpful to someone! Here is a little list I have been…

    Wednesday Reveal – November Glambag

Real talk, have you ever found out that someone is a church-goer and it made you think less of them? Not because I am anti-church, or anti-faith or anything but because the person is just such an asshole that you cannot fathom how they could possibly go and sit in church every Sunday and be the way that they are!? I was made privy to this information about someone recently and I wanted to just stop everything and ask them, So – you just choose to be a condescending, elitist, snotty prig and then you go to church? What church do you go to?! The Church of Latter Day Assholes?! I…

    Anti-Haul Holiday Edition

I am following the Black Friday fallout like a hawk, not to see any brawls over Cabbage Patch Dolls or the equally asinine hot toy this year but to see how many retailers forecast having made it into the black. I gotta’ say, it isn’t looking good. Economists claim that Amazon and Wal-Mart were the relevant players in the game and stores like Target, Nordstrom and JCPenney have all seen drops in stock. That’s good news for Modcloth who has been posting all over social media about their #blackfridaybreakup – their parent company cleaned up so they should feel good about sitting this one out. Hypocrites. I think it will be yet another…

  • Show Me Your Empties

    Some November Empties!

I am posting my empties a little early this month because I only have a few days until Blogmas starts, yes, I have decided to go ahead and do them. I did snag a Charlotte Tilbury advent calendar, I will post Blogmas related content for 12 days and the advent calendar for the other 12 in an every other day rotation so stay tuned! Also, I am not posting favourites this month because I am really just trying to reduce my stash and slogging through even the stuff I hate – it’s been fun and I didn’t try a ton of new stuff this month because I was saving to…

Sunday Funday – Random Drugstore Haul

After wandering around the frozen aisles of Target last night looking for pork dumplings, I realized that I never get offered help when I am in stores. Never sounds like a strong word but I am serious, I have to make direct eye contact or stare directly at an associate before I am acknowledged. I will approach them, I don’t just stare at them but shouldn’t they be approaching me? I don’t know what it is about me, do I seem unfriendly? Maybe I just don’t look like I need help and usually I don’t but for the times that I do, it would be nice if 10 store associates didn’t…

    Sample Saturday – AmorePacific

AmorePacific is one of those brands that I find has some really fantastic products that are worth the price tag and then some products that are pretty average and over-priced. I received the Treatment Cleansing Foam in a deluxe-size sample and now that I have used the entire tube, I am categorizing this product as average. This product claims to be great for normal, oily and combination skin. It is supposed to remove makeup and impurities without stripping the skin and combat breakouts. The thing is, it isn’t really formulated with anything that has been proven to work miracles, the hype is all around the inclusion of red-ginseng and a…

  • NOTD

    Winter NOTD

The BF had to work this morning so I slept in and binge watched Northern Exposure for a few hours. We did go out for a bit but I did most of my holiday shopping online and we are going out for Small Business Saturday! I think that the best Black Friday deal that I took advantage of today was my cats’ dry kibble that was on BOGO – serious savings, people and this Christmas catnip pickle. Oh, and the cashier at Starbucks didn’t charge me for my two extra shots of espresso this morning – it was a good day all around. At some point I found myself in Home…

    Holiday MOTD

I hope that everyone is having a lovely day – I woke up and started getting all my stuff together for Sample Saturday and realized that it wasn’t Saturday and then realized that I didn’t have a post prepped for today! I wasn’t going to wear makeup as I will be cooking all day but then watched the Charlotte Tilbury x Pixiwoo collaboration and got inspired – it’s that accent, could literally convince me to do most anything. I decided to go a bit dark today, there are aspects of the holidays that I really enjoy and aspects that I really hate…here is my Thanksgiving if we Must MOTD: My…

Wednesday Reveal – November Sephora Play!

I don’t know if I am doing Blogmas this year, I find it really hard to write posts that are holiday related. I mean, I love Christmas but how does one talk about it for 25 straight days?! I enjoy reading everyone’s Blogmas but I myself am in need of some holiday inspo. It’s funny that the theme for the November Play! is Me O’Clock – I was just recently peeved off over a YouTuber yakking on about self-care and SJW’s, two terms that I feel have been completely bastardized in the United States especially. I don’t know when self-care was hijacked by self-proclaimed SJW’s but it’s definitely abused. I feel that…

    Festive Red Lips

And a little commentary on American Consumerism – ’tis the season! I have decided to not Black Friday shop at stores that have decided to open on Thanksgiving especially the ones that made such a big deal about closing last year so that people could spend time with their families – looking at you Macy’s. Was caring about your employees just a 2016 thing? Stores already open at 4 AM – I don’t understand that need to start shopping on Thanksgiving Day – why can’t we just have a break from consumerism? Or shop online. Don’t get me wrong, my first jobs were in retail and I loved working Black…
