On the 2nd Day of Blogmas – White Elephant

We are doing a White Elephant gift exchange at work and I loathe White Elephant, I always get stressed out. I have a very dry sense of humor and I am not sociable, two things that do not pair well at social gatherings – I am at that person who would end up offending someone as a result of just having zero social skills. Also, it’s 2017 and one cannot breathe without offending someone. Not to mention, I have a difficult time gifting someone something that they won’t like or use and that is kinda’ the whole point here. White Elephant should just be banned, it’s a recipe for disaster. Here are my office friendly, hopefully non-offensive picks for the gift exchange this year – that I am dreading:

These Adult Achievement Stickers are pretty tame, people should receive stickers for completing really mundane things like eating salad. You get 16 stickers/$8.95 on Amazon.

I would be that jerk who would gift a glitter bomb, which would be completely offensive but these glitter pills are a similar idea without dousing someone in glitter. I found these on Etsy and they retail at 10/$10.

I am sorry, I don’t care how many people won’t get this reference – someone is getting this Jimmy Fallon mug.

I received a streptococcus plush years ago and I love it, I still have it on my desk. ThinkGeek has a selection of theses little plush replicas of microbes. I think the flu is very cute, these retail at $9.99 each.

Another gross goodie, these are from Perpetual Kid and you get a head louse, bed bug, eyelash mite, tapeworm and lovely little hostess pencil topper. Totally gross, I am into it – you can pick these crowd pleasers up for $6.99.

I still don’t get the whole point behind this type of gift exchange, why gift someone crap that they aren’t going to use? I think it’s supposed to be fun 😛 If you are in the same predicament, I hope that this helped.

Thanks for stopping by ❤
