Korean Market Trip!

I read the name Berengaria in a book and decided that this would be what I would name a daughter. She was Queen Berengaria of England, what a fierce name – I mean, what would you do upon meeting someone of that name?! Probably just leave. And then I realized that this is probably in the top 10 reasons why I will never have kids – they would be cursed with ridiculous names. Prudence, Astrid, Magnhild, Berengaria – just to name a few πŸ˜›

The K-Beauty obsession continues, today I went to a Korean market to see what they had to offer and scored a couple of interesting finds. If there is one thing that I do enjoy about living in the metro, aside from the close proximity to hospitals – it’s the diversity of wares and goods that are available as a result of so many cultures coming together. I felt like a kid in a candy store perusing all of the skincare and beauty products that they had – I made some safe choices but found plenty to research and go back for!

I found two CosRX face washes, one is the Low-ph Good Morning Cleanser that I had on my recent wish list and the other is salicylic acid cleanser. Each cost me right around 10 bucks and each tube contains 5 ounces of product – not bad at all.

I also picked up a box of peel pads from a brand that I had never heard of – Common Labs. You get 10 pads individually packed in foil packets, they are supposed to be fairly mild but I am still excited to try them out. These also cost a little under $10 – definitely worth a shot for the cost.

It was a fun outing, a bit overwhelming but I love exploring these types of shops – they have such interesting things! The store-owner was incredibly helpful which takes a little bit of the guess work out of trying products that aren’t familiar to me. I can’t wait to go back and am happy to support a local business.

Thanks for stopping by <3

I’ve heard K-Beauty products are really good and I’m tempted to try. But I don’t know where to start from, especially with their 7 steps!

I have only tried a few products so far but I like them. The ingredients tend to be really good and the products are reasonably priced. I haven’t got the hang of the whole process, it takes forever but I suppose it’s an interesting concept!

You made me giggle about the names. Prudence?? AHAHAHA. Still, it doesn’t quite beat Chicago.

I haven’t tried any of these k-beauty products but I have heard very good things about the low pH morning cleanser, so I hope you enjoy it!

Ooooo I love the morning cleanser! I’d be curious how it compares to the salicylic acid cleanser!

I really like both of them, I think that the salicylic cleanser just provides a deeper clean and obviously has different active ingredients. Both are really good so far!
