Spring Beauty I’m Excited About

According to the BF there are two types of people when it comes to the film The Usual Suspects – those who think it’s alright and those who love it. I told him that it was the best fucking movie ever made so apparently I fall into the latter group 😛 I’m sorry, that last half hour as the detectives realize that Kint’s story was all bullshit that he was making up on the fly while he is strolling away – I could watch it 100 times and still be mesmerized. Spacey turning out to be a predatory sleazebag definitely tainted the movie a bit for me, the script and cast is still pretty incredible.

I haven’t been purchasing a lot of makeup lately or really trolling the new releases, I haven’t even been looking through Instagram to see what’s new. I dunno, I just get to a point where I know I don’t need it, I shouldn’t spend money on it and I feel a bit jaded. That being said, there are some recent items that have caught my eye which is saying something since I’ve had so little interest in new makeup.

I keep looking at this Violet Voss palette, that will be exclusive to Sephora and I cannot tell if it is almost exactly the same as the Laura Lee palette or not. It appears to have a few similar shades which isn’t a bad thing since the Laura Lee palette was limited edition and I have hit pan on all of my fave shades from that one. This palette is a mix of matte, shimmer, metallic and duo-chrome shadows – get in my collection, please. I think that Violet Voss makes some of the best eye-shadows and the palettes are really affordable for what you get. I haven’t seen a release date yet but I hope it’s soon!

Cover FX Power Play Foundation – I don’t use much from this brand, I really only know their foundations and I know that they are highly pigmented, long-lasting and worth the price tag. I definitely want to try their new Power Play Foundation comes in 40 shades and retails at $44.

I didn’t love the One and Done balm or whatever it was but the Blur on the Run compact sounds like it could be pretty good. It’s a water resistant balm that can be used for touch ups, it is supposed to blur imperfections and reduce shine. I don’t have a good touch up product, I have a powder compact but it honestly only succeeds in grabbing onto my foundation and leaving bald patches. In all honesty, I have never gotten the hang of the touch up – I prefer to wash my face and start over.

I don’t know if I really want the Natural Love Blush Palette because it looks amazing or if I am just a blush slut. I do know that TooFaced blushers are pretty great and I would expect this to be the same quality. I have not heard a release date on this one yet either.

This next product doesn’t make a lot of sense to me but I have seen some really gorgeous reviews of it and think it would be a nice product to wear in the summer. The Hollywood Flawless Filter from Charlotte Tilbury can reportedly be used on its own or mixed with foundation. It’s really just a complexion correcting fluid but I don’t own anything like it.

Both of these products released earlier in the year but I am swooning over Guerlain’s new lippies and blusher.

And those are all of the products that I am excited for this Spring – what do you have your eye on?

Thanks for stopping by <3

First off, totally on the same Usual Suspects team as you.
Secondly, that blush palette looks spectacular although I feel like I’d spend longer looking at it than using it! And intrigued by the CT Flawless Filter…will definitley try and read more about that!😊

Right!? Such a great movie. I will have to take a look at the palette when it comes out, I think that there is one shade that I might not use but we’ll see! Yea, the Flawless Filter certainly sounds interesting – I’m still not totally sure how it would be used though 🙂
