Windows Up Playlist

We all have that playlist, right? That one we are hardcore jamming to while pounding out some serious Excel formulas but will lie and say it’s NPR if asked what we’re listening to? That one song that you are screaming the lyrics to until you hit a red light and turn it off so that people you don’t know nor will probably ever see again won’t judge you. I can’t be the only one πŸ˜› This is my list:

Dreams – The Cranberries – An old fave and a great song, if you aren’t air key-taring the shit out of that intro though, it’s wasted on you. Yodeling, falsetto – it literally has everything. Not to mention, Dolores O’Riordan was the epitome of the 90’s alternative queens.

Come on Eileen – Dexys Midnight Runners – To this day, I have no idea what this song is about.

Bette Davis Eyes – Kim Carnes – Another really fantastic song, Kim Carnes has that throaty, sultry voice and I’d die of embarrassment if anyone ever heard my impersonation.

Hold Me NowThompson Twins – Again, get the keytar out and you have to sing both parts. HOLD ME NOW, in your loving arms πŸ˜›

Video Killed the Radio Star – The Buggles – Oh-wah-oh.

Heat of the Moment – Asia – My eleven-year-old head exploded at that first bombastic, stadium anthem rift and it’s been a staple ever since. The band mates of Asia, talk about total dweebs but I had a major crush on the lead singer.

Your Love – The Outfield – This band was an enigma, the front man looked like an Eric Clapton cast-off and the band mates were spandex clad glam-rockers πŸ™‚

Honestly, these are all great songs and I think it’s just my poor vocals that are embarrassing πŸ˜›

Thanks for stopping by <3
