ColourPop Butterfly Collection

I haven’t ordered anything from ColourPop in ages and finally decided to order some items from the new Butterfly Collection and the new Kathleen Lights palette. I just have swatches of the Butterfly pieces but will share the rest tomorrow when the light is better. I know that ColourPop has released quite a few new collections recently but there was just something so happy and bright about the Butterfly aesthetic that I couldn’t pass. Here are the bits that I picked:

Super Shock Shadows in Bubble Bee, Three’s a Cloud and Race You. Two vibrant gold/yellow shades and a bright pink with gold reflects. I haven’t worn much yellow since I was a girl and it’s always a shade that I have associated with children and childhood but I’d like to start wearing it again. The pink was a random pick that I thought would be fun for summer. These shadows are even more wet feeling than I recall and I wonder if the formula has changed or if my pots are really dry? I mean, they still perform well but I don’t recall them being so creamy.

I mean, how stinking cute are these boxes?! I also picked up two lipsticks, I have not tried the formula before but I love the rose gold tubes with stars and the stars stamped into the lippies. I chose Dream Easy and Afterglow which are both pretty safe shades, I really just wanted to see what the formulas was like. They swatched like a dream, very creamy, no patchiness and lovely pigment but I have yet to wear them.

I love all of the little details that ColourPop puts into their different collections – look at those little butterflies 🙂 It is a very lovely collection, I think that there are some face palettes and even more shadows and lippies – I might have to go back for more.

Thanks for stopping by <3

It is, I like how they design their collections. Eh, I usually do brown shadows with pops of yellow. Not to everyone’s taste ☺️ but it can be fun!
