100+ Beauty Questions Tag

I love a good tag, (although I am pretty terrible at tagging people back) but I have been following along with Sarah’s responses to the 100+ Beauty Tag and it looked like too much fun to pass up! Her responses have been fantastic and so much fun to read so definitely check out her posts and here we go!

So many brands, so little time. I am going to have to say Charlotte Tilbury which I rarely talk about on my blog but only because I feel that this brand can be very hit or miss for people and it is definitely not my everyday makeup. This is the brand that I go to when I want my routine to feel luxurious and fancy. I love her packaging and brand aesthetic but it’s definitely a treat.

Blusher, no contest.

Architects Daughter Regular

Smashbox! They have so many shades and their formula is so creamy, smooth and pigmented.

Almay – it was the first foundation that I have ever tried and I should have known that there would be an issue when it stung my skin but I was new to makeup, about an hour later and I wanted to smack my face off of my face. I could see that my skin was getting rough and bumpy throughout the day and when I finally got to wash it off, it burned and I looked like I had a sunburn for about a week. I don’t know what reacted with my skin but I have only used their cleansing products since with no issue.

Architects Daughter Regular

Powder foundation, setting spray and lip gloss.

If I am wearing foundation, then it goes on first. There is much debate around this but once I get my base down, I can then determine if I need more coverage or not – if I put concealer on first then I am pretty much committed to having to layer on foundation.

Mascara plus you can smudge it up a bit to get the same effect as a liner.

Anything on the peachy/coral side works best with my skin tone and is fairly versatile.

Architects Daughter Regular

Matte liquid lippies, I just can’t mess with them in the summer because they tend to look really harsh against all of the creme products that I switch over to in the summer. Plus, my lips tend to get sunburned which is awesome and a gloss feels better and smooths over anything peeling.

Bronzer, which makes no sense but it looks so obvious on my pale complexion even at the peak of July when it could be remotely possible that I have some tan so you know nobody is falling for it in the dead of winter.

Architects Daughter Regular

CosRx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser, this stuff foams like no other and it feels so refreshing. It definitely fights break outs but doesn’t dry my skin out, it is so cheap that I have one for my face and one for my neck/chest area that can act up during the humid weather. I really love it, probably my favorite offering from the brand!

Architects Daughter Regular

Pinks, corals and nudes.

Architects Daughter Regular

Berry tones or reds.

Architects Daughter Regular

Chanel. It’s not an option Smalls, forget about it.

I don’t use a lot of fancy soaps, in fact I only have Cetaphil in my bathroom at the moment. Does that count? Total side note, I wish the Nivea had a bar soap, I think that they would do a really nice bar soap if they had a mind to.

I am not fussy with my shampoos, I just use whatever is on sale but if I want to treat myself then it’s Aveda.

Architects Daughter Regular

Straightener, my hair cannot hold a curl.

Architects Daughter Regular

An hour, give or take but that’s also what I need everyday so…either my life is one big party or I don’t party, take your best guess 😛

Architects Daughter Regular

Clothing, by far, I never know what to wear.

Architects Daughter Regular

Nope. I find that they are really only good for a couple of the multi-functions that they claim.

Architects Daughter Regular

Probably just a very moisturizing sunscreen…? I have come to terms with my face being my face and can leave without anything on it but I need some kind of moisture and SPF.

Architects Daughter Regular

Too many too count and more than I will need in this lifetime.

Architects Daughter Regular

Anything nude or your lips but better – I don’t love the shape of my lips and I just like a little color most of the time.

Architects Daughter Regular

It all comes off, I wear a balm to sleep but otherwise no other makeup. I was once on an impromptu sleepover because of inclement weather and full on used olive oil to remove my makeup. I cannot deal with having makeup on my face while sleeping.

Architects Daughter Regular

Nivea, I am using one of the oil-infused ones at the moment.

Architects Daughter Regular

The body emulsion from Embryolisse but it is near impossible to get a hold of it in the US and haven’t had it on hand in months.

Architects Daughter Regular

Once in a while if my skin is irritated but it has to be unscented.

Architects Daughter Regular

Bobbi Brown, Kevyn Aucoin (still the best) and the Chapman sisters.

Architects Daughter Regular

If I cared about hair, Anne Hathaway has really lovely hair.

Architects Daughter Regular

Aveda, too bad I cannot go in there without having a sneezing fit and haven’t been there in years. I can use their shampoos with no issue but their shops are a nightmare.

Architects Daughter Regular

Never.

I think that I have watched Patrick Starrr where he has used grey lenses, they do look really lovely but I think violet would look nice as well.

Architects Daughter Regular

I don’t know? Perhaps unknowingly but my makeup is pretty westernized as far as I know.

I don’t want to get myself into trouble here, I associate belly dancers with the Middle East and I love their makeup – just gorgeous skin and sultry eyes. My mom was apparently into belly dancing (it was the 60’s) and she had these jars of pigment that you used for eyeliner, I was always fascinated by them. If that look suited my fair skin, I’d be all over it but I just look bizarre in a smokey eye.

Architects Daughter Regular

Not that I can recall? I was in a purple eye-shadow phase a few weeks ago when I drifted back to neutrals, the BF told me that my makeup had been looking crazy. The information would have been helpful when I was wearing the makeup not when I went back to neutrals, honestly. Also, I think it was just so different than what I tend to do that he actually noticed.

Architects Daughter Regular

Gosh, 21 or so? I was a late bloomer, mostly the nun thing but have made up for lost time since then.

That’s the first 30’ish questions, I am also going to part this out since there are a ton of questions. As I mentioned, I saw this tag first on lifewithlilred and hope that you check out Sarah’s posts (and thank you for posting such a fun tag)! If you want to do this one, do it! It is so much fun and I would love to read your responses.

Thanks for stopping by <3
