Summer To Be Read

Ah, summer. Bees, sunburns, allergies, bees. I spent a lot of time indoors reading during the summer as a kid and to be honest, not a whole lot has changed since then. I take my chances with the bees these days and do read outside a lot more, usually in a full black ensemble and mosquito net, slathered in SPF 50 but I get outside πŸ˜› Obviously, I don’t have as much free time now as I did then but I tend to read a lot more during the summer just out of habit and have quite a few books that I want to get through in the next couple of months.

Fragments of the Lost – I think this is a YA novel but I really liked the other books that I have read from Megan Miranda and am tired of waiting for a new thriller. A young girl tries to figure out the truth around the circumstances of her boyfriend’s death. I enjoy her writing style and how the events transition from past to present, I hope that this is similar to her other books.

Outsider – Most of Stephen King’s newer books have been less than good, they’ve sucked actually but I am giving him another chance. This one is about a young boy who turns up murdered and a prominent community member is fingered for the crime. If it sucks, I am so done with Stephen King though.

A Polaroid Guy in a Snapchat WorldI am a huge fan of David Spade, I think he is hysterical and I enjoy memoirs read by the subject matter – I cannot wait for this one to come out.

Blame it on Bianca Del Rio – Bianca Del Rio sharing her opinion on literally everything – yes, please.

Astrophysics for People in a HurryYou are never too old to learn something new and Neil deGrasse Tyson is a master at making any subject matter interesting. I enjoy most anything he has written and he is a fascinating public speaker, I know this is going to be good.

Road to Jonestown – Ugh, what is so fascinating about Jim Jones? It’s just one of those things that you want to know more about the why and how it happened. This particular book has been lauded for its historical accuracy and balanced account of the events.

Talking as Fast as I CanGrowing up with the Gilmore Girls and thinking that Lauren Graham is awesome, I don’t know how I haven’t read this yet!

These are just the top of the list too, I have a lot of reading to do! Actually, I can’t lie, I am mostly on audio-books these days because they are such time maximizers and I can be doing mostly anything while taking in a new book. Let me know what you are reading!

Thanks for stopping by <3
