If you don’t know, which you probably do given the amount of times that I have mentioned it, I am a huge fan of the Netflix series Stranger Things. Season one is definitely my fave, I think that the story line gets a little messy in the second season but it’s still pretty great. The BF rags on the show because of how much of the content appears to be lifted from various popular movies and shows from the 70’s and 80’s and I think that this contributes to why I like it – it feels like something from my childhood. Alleged plagiarism aside, I am anxiously awaiting season three which isn’t coming out any time soon and found a little tag while I was watching season one this evening. Also, this might contain spoilers but if you haven’t seen it by now – are you even going to watch it 😛 Also, this tag may have been written by a 10 year old but I am still doing it!
Probably when she loses her shit on the demogorgon and sends it back to the Upside Down. Or when Dart lets the gang escape, I knew he was on the good side.
It has to be when Hopper and Eleven are cleaning the cabin and he puts Jim Croce on the Hi-Fi. Such dad dancing, reminds me of when we would throw on Fleetwood Mac and clean the house when I was a kid.
When Hopper busts into Hawkins Laboratory, we would have gotten way further if I had been on look-out. Or in the second season when Nancy and Jonathan go on a road trip to visit the conspiracy theorist to blow the lid off Barb’s death – looked like a fun trip.
Hopper and Joyce Byers.
The biggest traitor since ever, I found this reference hysterical. Dustin’s entire character is hilarious, I like that he became more independent in the second season even though he was harboring something from the Upside Down.
Can I be honest? Mike was a little whiny and moody for a nine year old kid. I thought it was hilarious when he was trying to peel out on his bike at the quarry and it’s literally the worst storm/bike ride off I have ever seen. But the part where he tells Eleven that she is pretty is awfully cute.
And doesn’t that just sum up every boy ever who we have wanted to tell us that we are pretty, honestly.
Well, I could have done without the whole story line where Eleven meets her ‘sister’ and that whole gang – it was so anticlimactic. I would have not killed off Bob, skipped giving Lucas a little sister, and domesticated Dart so that he could hang out with the kids and not have to be banished to the Upside Down. If I am being honest, I literally have no idea how they are going to get a third season out of this plot line but am curious to see what happens now that the gate is supposedly closed but you better believe that I am tuning in.
Have you watched the series? What do you think is going to happen in season three?
Thanks for stopping by <3
