Often times while perusing online magazines, I am shocked at how un-trendy I am (not really that shocked) for not jumping on any of these amazing trends but also relieved that I didn’t even know that they existed 😀 Still, now that I know of their existence, I am compelled to share my thoughts on some of the most questionable.
Was this really a thing? In theory, it probably could look very beautiful but on my skintone it would just make me look sick. Also though, think of all of the yellow eye-shadows that I have and don’t use that I could use up.
I did know that this was a thing but I don’t get it, I am actually over the highlighter trend altogether.
Not a work look but this would be perfect for countless Halloween costumes.
You can give a makeup faux pas whatever clever name you want but nobody strives to achieve this look. These don’t even really resemble the iconic lashes that Twiggy made famous, these are just clumpy.
Sometimes I really like this and think it looks cute but again, it just wouldn’t work on me. Anything looks good on James Charles, I would look like I had rubbed dirt on my face.
Maybe I am just jealous but never in my lifetime did I see the claw clips making a comeback or giant barrettes or those stabby, circular torture devices that always scratched you in the eye.
Again, not a work look unless of course, you are a super-fabulous super model. I get that elements of the runway inspire what average people wear but how can I even begin to make this work?!
It seems like we see this trend on and off on repeat and while it looks stunning, it can look like the lips were just bitten which puts me off a little.
Another trend that isn’t very wearable, glossy or grease paint eyes look good for the 2 seconds after being applied then one blink or squint and your eyelids are stuck together.
Certainly not the most bizarre trends that have been dreamed up by the beauty community but certainly some eye-catching ones. Excuse my while I go face first into a bowl of glitter 😛
