August Trash Talk

Before we get into the beauty trash – is anyone using the Gutenberg Editor and liking it?  I don’t get it, the blocks don’t make sense to me and I just feel like I have to do a lot of clicking to insert content and the spacing comes out wonky – I just don’t like it. I’m generally pretty accepting of updates and new apps but this one has been a struggle and I went back to the Classic Editor. Am I just getting old? Is this the first sign that I am no longer able to learn new technology?! Technology-schmechnology. We are literally inundated with more technology than we could imagine in our wildest dreams and what the shit is anyone doing with it? I mean really. I find it shocking that there is so much research being spent on trying to invent technology that prolongs human life while we can’t find a solution to global warming. Actually, the whole thing is pretty ironic, humans living longer is actually detrimental to the planet and if the planet dies, we all die. Where is this post going…Classic – Good, Gutenberg – Bad but let me know your thoughts.

Budhayanti Script Regular

I have had a pretty good run with this cream recently, such a good run that I ordered a couple more tubs. This creamy is very heavy, I have dry skin and it’s all I need under my makeup during the day. However, it tends to start breaking me out with continual usage which sucks because it makes my skin look amazing! I like that she released these mini-tubs, I can use one up without getting a breakout and then transition to another light cream without having to worry about the jar going rancid. I hate skin – it’s so problematic, it’s like a full-time job that I don’t actually get paid to do and in fact, lose money on.

LOMA is an organic shampoo line that is sulfate, paraben and gluten free. I liked this shampoo? I never know what to say about shampoos, I haven’t ever used on where I was like, Wow – this was the best shampoo ever. I have healthy hair that doesn’t require much finessing so I just need a product that cleanses and not much else, this did fine in that respect. I don’t think that I will repurchase, I will just use up the conditioner with whatever shampoo is on sale.

Budhayanti Script Regular

I really like these and will repurchase, if you have dry/acne prone skin these are really great for toning and clarifying without being drying. I don’t have a pic because I already started a plant in the tub, to reuse it. But I have talked about these here.

Budhayanti Script Regular

I received this sample in a beauty box and used it immediately as I have been contemplating testing this out for some time. It’s formulated with moss and witch hazel which are both supposed to promote healthy skin and reduce breakouts. I liked it, it smells lovely but I don’t know how effective it is was at actually reducing breakouts. My skin felt cleansed and toned but nothing amazing. I would consider purchasing a full-size if I had a coupon or if it was on sale and was totally out of toners.

Budhayanti Script Regular

I like it, I use it, I repurchased 🙂 They just expanded their shade range too so there’s probably something for everyone. I currently mix Fair Beige and Light to get my perfect shade but brands never make products that are pink enough for my skintone and I don’t mind terribly.

These are very nice, I like the added oil and how hydrated my skin feels when I use them. The scent is on the baby-powdery side but not terribly potent, just a fresh subtle baby scent.

Budhayanti Script Regular

This was my absolute perfect summer scent and the medium size bottle lasted just long enough. It’s warm and coconut-y with a little sandalwood in the dry down. I won’t repurchase until next summer but it is a very pretty, long-lasting fragrance.

Budhayanti Script Regular

This stuff is 110 times better than the Glow Tonic in my opinion. It’s completely non-irritating, I have been using it during the day and it makes my skin look and feel so smooth and bright. I hope that she releases a big bottle because I am addicted but this little bottle doesn’t last very long!

Budhayanti Script Regular

I do still like these exfoliating pads but reduced using them to maybe once a week and they dried out! I enjoy the Retinol Tonic way more and will keep purchasing that.

Budhayanti Script Regular

I liked these at first but they are too dry and burn my eyes, they do an OK job at removing makeup but left my face a little on the filmy side. Ew.

That’s it for this month!

I’m on WordPress.org – maybe it hasn’t been released to regular WordPress? I had no idea anything was changing until one day the editor was totally different. Luckily, there’s still a plug-in for the Classic version. I don’t know why they tried to change a good thing!
