I wasn’t planning on doing a monthly favourites post because I don’t have very many beauty products but do have quite a few lifestyle bits so I am going for it!
Mario Badescu Drying Mask – This mask smells like death but it clears stubborn breakouts like nothing I have ever tried before. I haven’t had too many skin issues but have had some stubborn spots, I use this mask to post treat my face a couple of times a week and it’s amazing!
pixi Retinol Tonic – This is a super gentle, daily retinol toner. I don’t often get along with retinol but this tonic doesn’t bother my skin and makes my face feel and look crazy smooth.
Lights, Camera, Lashes Mermaid Edition – Is this just the same old tarte mascara in a mermaid tube? Yes, yes it is. Does the mermaid tube make it infinitely better? Yes, yes it does. I am such a sucker for these limited edition tubes, I threw my festival tube out but the mermaid tube is very lovely too.
Lanolips 101 Ointment in Nutter Butter – This dinky tube was stupid expensive but this balm works on dry cuticles, dry elbows, knees so you definitely get a lot of use out of it and it smells amazing.
Apparently, I didn’t read a lot of great books this month because the only one that I even recall enjoying was The Last Time I Lied which, I reviewed here if you are interested. It was a good, slasher/thriller type of book but I hope to read some better books this next month. Shout out to Book of the Month Club, their selection seems to be steadily improving!
My room came out really nice, it has become my most favourite room in the apartment but I should really try to spend some quality time in the living room 😛 If you want a blow by blow with some details on where I picked up some of the pieces, check it out here.
I haven’t been listening to much music because I don’t want to turn my fave tunes into breakup tunes but I have been watching CSI: Las Vegas and it’s just as good as I remember. My favourite episodes are the Miniature Killer ones.
And last but not least, I finally decided to try out a pair of minimalist running shoes and they are everything that I have ever wanted in a running shoe. I honestly wish that these were available when I was playing more competitive sports. These shoes are so soft and comfortable, they allow your feet to move however ever they need to while walking/running and it makes for a very comfortable run.
That does it for this month, let me know what you have been loving!
