Blogtober Day: XV – Fall Eyeshadow

I realized that I haven’t talked about much makeup as part of my Blogtober series but I have been purchasing new makeup (hello, Gemini palette that is arriving today) and figured I was overdue in talking about some fall makeup! I ordered the Study Buddy kit from ColourPop some time ago, it includes 6 of their Super Shock shadows in some very fall suitable shades. I love the Super Shock formula, the hybrid creme/powder formula is so vibrant, it wears beautifully and if you have crepe-y eyelids like yours truly, it definitely minimizes the appearance of those fine lines.

I feel like I really had to work for these swatches, these shades don’t swatch super great but they also stained my arm so they are super pigmented. They look much better on and didn’t stain my eyes, the stand out shades to me are All In (a deep purple almost wine shade), Let me Pass (burnt orange, stunning) and Here We Go Again (in between a yellow and a mustard) but all of the shades are very wearable and lovely. The formula of these almost seemed wetter than some of the Super Shocks that I own and I felt the need to prime my eyes to prevent creasing but that’s totally personal preference. Regardless of whether or not you prime, you are still going to get mega, creamy colour pay off. I really like that the set came with three neutrals and three punches of colour, you can get a full eye look and then some with just this set.

It’s such a fun set, it’s actually on sale right now or you can snag the shades in singles too if you see something you like. ColourPop is cruelty-free, made in the USA and affordable!
