Best of November

We are already at that time of year where I leave for work, it’s dark and then I leave from work and it’s dark so I don’t have a lot of time to get blog photos taken. I do have like 3 strands of lights leftover from tree decorating so we’ll try to make this happen but I don’t think they’ll be great quality. I don’t want to skip posting because I don’t have my own photos to use but I also don’t love using internet images or snips in posts too often. Anyway, here are some things that made my November a little better!

Here’s the deal, I don’t love spending $30-40 on powder because that’s ridiculous and the FitMe loose powder has been my go-to for quite some time now until the weather turned cold and my skin looked like paper. It’s not the powder’s fault in my opinion but I still decided to swap it out for a finer-milled powder. The Perfect Setting Powder is so lightweight and finely milled that I don’t even feel it on my skin and I don’t really even see it on my face. It gives such a natural looking finish and does an awesome job at keeping my makeup intact all day. Also, it doesn’t make my under eyes look like crepe which I thought was something that I would always deal with, this somewhat justifies the cost but not totally.

These beauties will be getting their own dedicated post for Blogmas but I love them so much that I am raving about them twice! If you don’t know Flower Beauty, it is Drew Barrymore’s makeup line and she has loads of good stuff at affordable prices. These glitter shadows have quite a lot of pigment, wear all day without creasing and are very easy to apply. I have been wearing them on their own, as a topper, as eyeliner – they add dimension and glam to any look in literally seconds.

I am non-discriminate with my love for face oils but maracuja has been my fave as of late, reason being is how deeply moisturizing but lightweight it is. I need a face oil that I can wear under makeup that doesn’t break down my foundation and this one does the trick. It does smell a tad nutty but that usually dissipates once the oil is absorbed, it’s not awful just a tad on the earthy side.

You’re probably asking yourself at this point, how much glitter does she wear on a daily basis? No lie, anywhere that I can put it. Perhaps not so much in the warmer months but I’m coated in glitter from about November to February. This is a gold, glitter top coat that you apply over dry mascara, I like to add it to my bottom lashes as well for a little more sparkle.

We all know about my love/hate relationship with Magic Cream and I’m back in love with it at the moment. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again – there is nothing in this cream that justifies the cost but it makes my skin look so amazing that it really does seem like magic. I hate my skin so anything that makes me think it looks good is pretty special, I desperately want to splurge on the mega tub but I think it would go bad before I used it up.

I’m having a purple/plum moment with my eyeliner, I don’t typically where eyeliner, I pack darker shadow along my lash line but that’s about it. I had this Fiona Stiles pencil in Orchid in my pile to be used up, it adds more drama than a brown pencil but is more wearable for me than black eyeliner. I love black eyeliner but we have a tenuous relationship, it never stays put, it smudges and it can be too harsh against my ghostly complexion. Purple is perfect, I have even felt compelled to line my waterline which I never do but I like it that much! I also pulled out my UD Alkaline line which is a little on the burgundy side but wears very similarly.

Already talked about it here, still love it – if you need a holiday palette or awesome gift for the makeup junkie in your life (yourself) then I cannot recommend this one enough.

I actually watched this a second time, minus the steak tartare part at the beginning because WTF is that?! Gag, it’s raw meat, are you kidding me? Anyway, on the surface this is just another political scandal but it was a fascinating story that touched on the impact of social mores on the human condition and how detrimental societal expectation can be.

These are the softest sheets that I have ever owned and I love the pop of pink in my otherwise neutral room. I usually never have trouble getting out of bed but it’s hard to leave this snuggly flannel everyday.

Holy Christmas, this collection is divine. I haven’t burned a Glade candle in ages and didn’t know that they even had 3-wick candles, all of these scents are so warm and festive. I burned the evergreen scent (not pictured) immediately and it was by far my favorite but it must be everyone’s favorite because I can’t find any more. I am on a mission to find more.

It’s not quite done yet but here is a sneak peek at my second tree, it’s a little spindly but I’m enjoying it.

That about does it for everything that I was especially enjoying this month, let me know what you were loving!

Awwww! What a cute little tree! I haven’t smelled the Nutcracker candles so I’ll keep an eye out for them. Also the flannel sheets sound amazing! As for the lighting issue, omg same!!! I leave when it’s dark and then come home and it’s dark, it’s so sad. I told my friend who lives in Arizona that I don’t remember what the sun feels like anymore in one of our more dramatic texts. But I thought the Christmas light photos were cute!

Thank you 🙂 They are surprisingly good, I thought they would be too sweet but they are very nice and burn really well. Right?! If I don’t leave for lunch, I don’t even know if the sun came up! Which is totally ridiculous but that’s how it feels 😀 Thank you!! Had to get resourceful!

I love how the photos turned out with the string lights! Have you ever tried Tarte’s Smooth Operator powder? It’s just as pricey as that Cover FX one but I’m curious how they compare.

I love Drew Barrymore but had no idea about her makeup line. Definitely gonna check it out now! 🙂

The candles sound delicious and your tree is so pretty! ♡

Thank you <3 I usually don't mind the early sunset but it sucks when you have stuff to do!! I have, the Tarte powder is a bit finer milled than the CoverFx even , it honestly feels just like a veil in comparison. My skin is a touch too oily for the Tarte powder so the CoverFx is a bit heavier but not too drying.

Yessss! She is such a queen, love her.

Thank you, it didn't turn out too shabby 🙂
