Fashion Inspo: Ring In, in Sequins

Every year around my birthday, I get the itch for a new tattoo and I start scouring the website for tattoo ideas. Then I start to assess how many lines are in each design and talk myself out of a tattoo because I don’t want it to be painful which is nuts because tattoos are just painful. My first tattoo wasn’t actually that painful, I don’t remember it being painful at least and I never felt the artist actually dragging the needle to create lines. The tattoo on my neck which, is a carbon copy of the tattoo on my face was literally the worst. I felt the needle just raking across my skin and that’s my most vivid memory of getting a tattoo so I’ve never had another one. I feel like I would do OK with a tattoo made up of primarily dots that but that really limits my options or maybe, not every artist is so heavy handed when it comes to creating lines? I don’t know but I’m probably going to wimp out because I have been for that last 6 years – maybe I’ll just get a piercing. Anyway, do tattoos have meaning anymore? I feel like they have become so mainstream that lots of people just have tattoos that look cool, which is fine with me because sometimes I just want a cool looking tattoo but there’s always been this need for them to mean something. Let me know, also let me know if you have tattoos and how you feel about the line thing. You’d think that this blog was about tattoos but it’s actually about my New Years Eve outfit that I have yet to find. I know that I want to do something with sequins so I headed over to Pinterest for some inspiration, none of these images belong to me! Also, if you want to see all of the tattoos that I am not getting, head on over to my Pinterest πŸ˜›

I love the way that sequins look against the more masculine cut or trousers, I think sequin trous are the perfect mix of sophistication and glitz.

I own a sequin skirt and it’s so much fun but over the years it has lost a few of the sequins, you wouldn’t think that it would get much wear but it works for a number of occasions and I need a new one!

I think it was Tim Gunn who said that everyone needs a blazer, I look like an idiot in a blazer but I think that something like this would work for me.

I think that sequins are appropriate for any occasion but especially so for New Years parties, I’m on the hunt for something sparkly. What are your New Years plans, do you have an outfit put together already?

Ew! I wonder if first tattoos hurt less because of the adrenaline?! I want another so badly but I don’t think I can do it and I don’t want to wimp out in the middle πŸ˜›

I ended up with a sequin skirt and button down which was perfect πŸ™‚ A sequin skirt is a wardrobe staple in my opinion <3

Hahaha, maybe because we are expecting more pain the first time and less pain the second time? I don’t know but I never wanna again!!

Sounds like such a cute outfit πŸ˜€
