    Fun Kitchen Finds

We are due for snow this evening and it’s slated to be the coldest Easter in the last 10 years but my kitchen is feeling decidedly Spring-like. Yes, I did make a trek to Wal-Mart this morning and yes, I feel like a jerk so judge away.  It’s a nightmare trying to find anything in stores that big but I did manage to find a few Pioneer Woman finds and they are perfect. The store in my area didn’t have a ton of stuff but what they did have was of good quality, I did place an Amazon order as well and am excited for that to get here. In the…

    Easter Decor Inspo!

It doesn’t feel very spring-like here with 5-7 inches of snow on the way but I was poking around in Bath and Body Works this weekend and looking at their spring candles. I didn’t purchase any because I am just not ready. I just realized that prior to moving to MN, I never talked about the weather – maybe I did but certainly not as obsessively as I do now that I live here. I can’t lie, I don’t like Easter, I don’t even like spring and I think it’s because of the pastels and allergies. Mostly allergies…or is it the pastels? I think this is the first year that…

    Top 5 Posts of 2017

I have been experiencing the worst eczema flare up that I have had in years, it’s all over my chest and neck – it is driving me bananas. I wear a lot of scoop necks and v-necks but I’ve been wearing turtlenecks and crew necks since this flare up and today I decided that I was going to wear whatever I wanted and not worry about it. Part of the reason was because of the rubbing, it irritates my skin more to have clothing constantly rubbing it all day and I just didn’t want to deal with it. The other reason was that I feel that I just need to get…

Friday Funday – Halloween Home Decor

Totally random (and late) post coming at you today – I had the day off and it is snowing!! Talk about perfect timing, now everyone can get their snow driving legs on without me dealing with them in rush hour. I have been out since about 7, tying up loose ends for Halloween, got my hair done – I ruined the style though cramming it into my snow hat, so now I look like Rumpelstiltskin from Shrek, it’s a look. I shared with you guys my work decorations and thought I’d give you a peek of my home décor. Honestly, not that much this year – I really went HAM…

    H&M Home List

Talking to the BF about home decor and showing him a gold, geometric tea light holder – while convincing him that this was trendy I said, Geometry is hot right now. Math teachers everywhere are rejoicing. I’ve said it before, I enjoyed math but it’s not like I have used anything aside from addition/subtraction in my adult life. I am still in decorating/cleaning mode – I’m having a hard time finding pieces that I am really into. Then I stumbled on H&M Home and I am probably the last person on earth to know that they started selling home decor but I have found some pieces that I actually like.…

    Decor Inspo – Vintage Kitchen

I had so much fun posting my collection of velvet couches that I thought I’d share my vintage kitchen wants 😊 My kitchen is already red, gingham and quirky, I love farmhouse style kitchens, bright colours, mod decor. My kitchen is probably the favourite room in the apartment, just a tad small. I can’t wait to have a bigger kitchen and actual dining room some day. Although, I’d compromise on the dining room – a breakfast bar and stools suits our needs, really. I’d love a kitchen as bright and sunny as any of these.  All of these images came from my Pinterest board and do not belong to me.…

    Decor Inspo – Velveteen Dreams

This will be the first and last time that I probably ever mention work, my worlds are colliding 😀 As a community we have this slogan or catch phrase – I don’t know what it is exactly, I should know more about this. For example, Minneapolis is The City of Lakes. Anyway, ours is like a 4 stanza paragraph and one of the lines is ‘…a community of choice…’ and I really don’t know what that means. My interpretation is a choice of $500,000 homes or $750,000 homes but I am pretty sure that isn’t what they were going for. There is a certain population (60 and older) who seem to think…
