    Wednesday Reveal – December Glambag

I just finished wrapping gifts this weekend, I like to really draw it out and only wrap a couple at a time. So, I am minding my own business, listening to some Christmas carols on Pandora when The Gael comes on – if you don’t what that is, it was used as the theme for The Last of the Mohicans – bagpipes, drums, the whole nine. This film devastated me in my youth and I cannot listen to the soundtrack to this day without becoming completely distraught. I am that person who will hear a piece of music and just start bawling like an idiot, I heard My Maria by Brooks and Dunn (I…

    Wednesday Reveal – November Glambag

Real talk, have you ever found out that someone is a church-goer and it made you think less of them? Not because I am anti-church, or anti-faith or anything but because the person is just such an asshole that you cannot fathom how they could possibly go and sit in church every Sunday and be the way that they are!? I was made privy to this information about someone recently and I wanted to just stop everything and ask them, So – you just choose to be a condescending, elitist, snotty prig and then you go to church? What church do you go to?! The Church of Latter Day Assholes?! I…

    Wednesday Reveal – October Glambag

If I have one pet-peeve in the entire world, it’s being called a millennial. Personally, I think that 1982-2004 is ridiculously long for a generation. The Baby Boomer generation is only 18 years and Gen-X is only 14! I feel that there should be an additional generation for us younger people given the advances in technology. I still remember VHS, I owned cassette tapes, I used floppy discs, I experienced a classroom without computers – final draft would just be a cursive written document. And frankly, I have very little in common with people born in the late 90’s/00’s. The millennial thing really gets under my skin. I am not good with computers…

    Wednesday Reveal – September Glambag

I was super excited for this month’s Ipsy as I thought the bag design was super chic and I was not disappointed! Yea, it’s pleather but it has an interesting texture and feels nice and sturdy, it is also lined – I have replaced my daytime makeup bag with this beaut. The theme this month was Like a Boss, here is what came in my bag: Luxie Beauty Rose Gold Medium Angled Shading Brush – The face brushes from this brand have been hit and miss with me, I have a couple that I use everyday so I don’t know what to expect from this one. I don’t think that I have…

    Sample Saturday – tarte

I tapped out of American Horror Story at some point during season two, I didn’t like all of the shock value and needless gore. I am a big fan of the horror genre but AHS was way too over the top and mostly disgusting, in my opinion. The new season is apparently about cults though which, I’m into and kinda’ want to watch the new season. We’ll see, I need someone to pre-screen it for me and take notes. I have two mini lippies for Sample Saturday, two shades of the tarteist Lip Paint that I think I received in Ipsy bags. Sample lipsticks are one of my favourite items to receive…

Sample Saturday – First Aid Beauty

The X-Files has to be my all-time favourite TV show ever since I was way too young to be watching it. I really thought that they were real agents and I so badly wanted to work for the FBI and solve X-Files with Fox Mulder. Not that they solved any cases, thinking on it now they were probably the worst FBI agents in the history of the bureau. Nine (now ten) seasons and two movies with no closed cases 😛 When I was old enough to realize that Fox Mulder wasn’t an FBI agent, I was forced to change my career plans. *le sigh* Today I have two products from First…

    Wednesday Reveal – August Glambag

I have whittled my beauty sub-boxes down to three, I would still like to try a paper/craft subscription box but haven’t found one that seems worth the money. I would also prefer it to be a quarterly box rather than monthly as all of these odds and ends stack up fast when they are coming in every month. My August Ipsy arrived and I am really pleased with this one! I could take or leave the bag, of the choices, I do like the purple colour scheme the most but there are words that could be used to describe me, Wild & Free are not those words. Still, I think it is pretty…

    Sample Saturday – Beau Gachis

I went to Walgreens for a prescription and coffee creamer and came out with a whole bag of random. I really think that it is a marketing scheme for them to take 45 minutes to fill my pills so that I shop, they take me for the sucker that I am. Should I post a drug store haul, it’s an addiction 😀 In my defense though, the local Walgreens has done a total overhaul of their beauty area, it is packed with new stuff – it is a really small store too that never gets new stuff! Anyway, I rounded up a few brushes from Beau Gachis that I have…

Wednesday Reveal (On Friday) – July Glambag

I decided to post a sub-box this week even though they arrived too late for a Wednesday Reveal but would like to stay somewhat current with these. I will post my Product of the Week on Sunday! I have to say that Ipsy Care was very helpful and promptly replaced the eye-shadow that arrived shattered in my last bag. Thanks to all of the ladies who recommended that I contact them! This month’s theme is Over Easy – lazy beauty essentials? I never know, I never get these. I do love Gudetama – he is this sluggish, over easy egg that was created by Sanrio. He’s a little yolk that glides around on albumen,…

    Wednesday Reveal – June Glambag

Another Wednesday, another reveal – I probably have used that opening before but there are only so many intros that one can use! Maybe I will make this the intro to every reveal because that wouldn’t be annoying! I wasn’t super enthused when I received my sneak peek but I was into the bag design and got over it. Then disaster struck, the entire mail room smelled like nail polish and I just knew it was my package. The nail polish wasn’t broken but the cap was twisted loose and it had leaked all over the bag contents. Luckily, the bulk of it did stay in the outer box but what…
