    Winter to do List

I will honor Christmas in my heart & try to keep it all the year. – Charles Dickens Well, here we are, the day after Christmas – this day always feels a little flat to me. It’s as though for the past two months we’ve all been hurtling towards this glittery, magical climax and now it’s done and gone. When I was a kid, we still had the entire week off but now I just have to schlep into work like a jerk. Also, it’s supposed to rain later and that’s really killing my mood. The day after Christmas is actually one of the biggest shopping days of the year…

    July Trash Talk

The empty bin has just enough empties to do an entire post, I think. Let’s get right to it! Glossier Boy Brow – We already know how deep the love runs for this cult beauty staple and I have already repurchased. There was a time that I thought this tube was a bit dinky for the cost and I still think that but it does last quite a long time, I feel like I get my money’s worth. Glossier Body Hero Oil Wash – I have to admit that the Body Hero release was a bit underwhelming and I really, really do not enjoy the lotion. This body wash made…

    May Trash Talk

I am changing the title of my monthly empties posts to Trash Talk because it’s corny and vaguely 90’s. I am not going to post my faves for May because I only had two products that were new to my faves and all of the others, I had definitely posted about before – I will just save everything for June! I didn’t have too bad of a month for using things up in May and am slowly but surely reducing my products which feels great. Let’s get started! Wet ‘n Wild PhotoFocus Matte Primer – I think this is a great everyday, lightweight primer that provides a decent amount of…

    Some April Empties!

And I think I’m self-hosted? What a wormhole and for someone who thinks that they are pretty tech-savvy, it was more of a headache than what I signed on for but I will post all about it soon because I just can’t think about it anymore right now. My end of month posts are a little delayed but still might be enjoyable and I was pretty proud of what I used up this month! tarte Rainforest of the Sea Marine Boosting Mist – I think that this is probably one of the sprays that is in my left-over mixture bottle and I don’t recall loving it on its own. The…

    Some March Empties!

I receive an email from audible, The Spring Releases You’ve Been Waiting For. And I am thinking, Awesome, because this is the time of year when all of the new Nordic Noir books hit the shelves. I eagerly open the email only to discover a list of shit releases that I have little to no interest in. At one time, writing and publishing a book was a big deal – not just anyone could do it. Now it seems, that any jerk with an internet connection and word processor can release whatever drivel their pea-brains conjure up. I’m sorry, not one but two books about Prince Harry’s wedding?! Who is…

    Some January Empties!

It looks as though I have not posted my empties in a bit – I usually don’t if I only have a couple of products but I am ready to have these out of my drawer and in the trash! Here are a few things that I have used up over the last few months: Smashbox Photo Finish Primer – This was a travel size that I used up, I have several samples to get through before purchasing a full-size. This is one of my favourite primers, it always makes my skin look smooth even if it really isn’t. Wet ‘n Wild Coverall Primer – This is another favourite primer, it goes…

    Some November Empties!

I am posting my empties a little early this month because I only have a few days until Blogmas starts, yes, I have decided to go ahead and do them. I did snag a Charlotte Tilbury advent calendar, I will post Blogmas related content for 12 days and the advent calendar for the other 12 in an every other day rotation so stay tuned! Also, I am not posting favourites this month because I am really just trying to reduce my stash and slogging through even the stuff I hate – it’s been fun and I didn’t try a ton of new stuff this month because I was saving to…

    Some October Empties!

Hands up if you binge-watched Stranger Things this weekend! Unpopular opinion, I am not a fan of El – I think that story line could have been written out, not sorry about it 😀 All of the rest of the kids are awesome, those haircuts – that’s art and the soundtrack is really fantastic. I don’t have a ton of empties, I feel like I say that every month but let’s get to it anyway! Milani Make it Last Setting Spray – This is a great fixing spray, it is affordable, smells good and does prolong the wear of my makeup. That being said, it feels like hair spray on my…

    Some September Empties!

I hate shopping for clothes; online or in store, it doesn’t matter. It is boring, I don’t understand trends and if it doesn’t come in black then I am not interested. I have been on the hunt for a black and white striped shirt for-ever and finally thought I had found one, I ordered, it arrives and I whip it out of the box, put it on – it’s a crop top. It looked like a regular top online though, brands need to add scale photos to their product shots to assist people like myself. I could probably wear it with that sequin skirt that I have yet to wear…

    Some July Empties!

This post should really just be where we address my obsession with face sprays. I cannot believe that I have enough beauty trash to do a full post but also – when did I find the time to use all of these sprays?! Two of them are travel sizes but still seems like a lot, I use face spray every day and multiple times a day so I guess it shouldn’t come as any surprise. Let’s get to the empties!! I grew to enjoy this Ready, Set Radiant Skin Mist but only as skin care, the sprayer is good for about the first dozen uses and then it gets really…
