    New Phone Cases!

I have been patiently waiting for my new phone cases to arrive, not that they took very long but I am that person who will absolutely drop my phone when it doesn’t have a case on it and then never drop it again. I chose a few styles, these are the first two to arrive, both are designed American Cases and I think they are absolutely perfect. They are made of a flexi-plastic material that I am sure has a more scientific name than that 😛 The material definitely feels tough enough to protect my phone from damage and the cases have good weight to them. I am guessing that…

    ColourPop Dream St.

I have been reading/watching a lot of man vs. nature horror/thriller stuff recently and its all but ruined camping for me. This is odd for me as I grew up near heavily wooded areas and we would go off in the woods all of the time, we never got lost and I don’t ever recall even the fear of getting lost. Anyway, they all start the same, camping in unknown terrain, it’s probably raining, the person manning the compass does not know how to use it or read a map, someone gets a head wound – you get the idea. I just finished Force of Nature by Jane Harper and…

    ColourPop Butterfly Collection

I haven’t ordered anything from ColourPop in ages and finally decided to order some items from the new Butterfly Collection and the new Kathleen Lights palette. I just have swatches of the Butterfly pieces but will share the rest tomorrow when the light is better. I know that ColourPop has released quite a few new collections recently but there was just something so happy and bright about the Butterfly aesthetic that I couldn’t pass. Here are the bits that I picked: Super Shock Shadows in Bubble Bee, Three’s a Cloud and Race You. Two vibrant gold/yellow shades and a bright pink with gold reflects. I haven’t worn much yellow since…

    Currently Coveting: Volition Beauty

It seems like there is a new beauty brand launching every minute of every day. I don’t recall the beauty industry being so saturated when I was a kid and would go with my mom to the makeup counter. There were like 5 brands and generally, she would purchase all of her items from one counter. Now there are 100’s of brands pedaling much of the same bullshit and generally new brands don’t interest me. Seen it, seen it, seen it. They think their no-name products are worth how much?! I took a second look at Volition Beauty mostly because of their packaging and some ingredients that caught my eye…

    Not Your Average Amazon Finds

I think that this used to be a Buzzfeed thing, people would share the interesting stuff that Amazon sells that nobody really needs. I spend a lot of time an Amazon and I have no idea how the algorithm works to generate my Recommended For You products but they crack me up. I’d like to believe that there is someone just randomly throwing bizarre stuff in there to make me chuckle but I am guessing not 😛 Set of Ten Finger Hands Finger Puppets – These are kinda’ terrifying but also a little hilarious. This one makes some sense because I did at one time purchase a bunch of finger…

    Fleeting Thoughts

And a new desk mat! For all those who do not get excited about office supplies, my apologies – I suppose that I could have waited patiently for all of my order to arrive and then do an office haul instead of posting randomly c’est la vie. I also purchased an unnecessary amount of Lysol products but I’ll spare you. Anyway, I purchased a floral desk mat because it will be like I always have flowers in my cube – I do have some plants but they aren’t flowers. It is bigger than I thought it would be but I think it’s going to work. I like the folk art…

    Back to Bare

The next time that I have to consider if a book is worth the emotional upset of finishing or not, I have got to just stop reading the book. I finished Sunburn, talk about an emotional train-wreck – I am still distraught. Even though I have almost convinced myself that the plot is wildly unrealistic and I say almost because I believe mankind to be the only monsters that exist and capable of most evils, I am still upset about how it ended. I was not expecting that ending – I don’t even know if I recommend the book or not because it was just such a tragedy. I have…

    Poppin’ Desk Accessories

My new desk is slowly coming together, I never really thought that I would be one of those people who spends this much time putting their work space together. At my first cubicle job, I could literally fit all of my belongings into a small box and it would be like I was never there. Not for any reason, I worked there for over 6 years but at my new job it just dawned on me how much time I spend at work. I spend a lot of time decorating the apartment that I get to enjoy much less so why not make my work space a place that I…

Chi for ULTA – First Impressions

It finally happened, I purchased a new blow dryer. The low cycle on my current model stopped working so I was having to dry my hair on high which sounded like a jet engine and made my hair way too fluffy. I also decided to purchase a new flat iron because they had a matching one due to the fact that my current one was making a crackling noise when I used it. There are noises that one’s electronic devices should not make, crackling is one of them. Both of these appliances were cheap and I realized that with all of the money that I am spending on replacing cheaper…

    Five Friday Thoughts

Or literally any bargain food brand, I don’t know what I was thinking when I got my first kitten and decided that she needed grain free, free-range, organic, blah, blah, blah, food. The brand that I purchase is not only ridiculously spendy but it never goes on sale! Meanwhile, Fancy Feast is on BOGO this weekend. Honestly, cats. Sunburn and I gotta’ say that it is dark, she has written some of my fave books and some of them were pretty dark but this is on another level. I am only 15 or so chapters in and I cannot think of a more vile, depressing book that I have read.…
