Blogmas Day 23: Best Television Series Christmases

I cannot believe that in two short days I will have to take down all of my Christmas decorations actually, that’s a lie because I leave them up until my birthday in early January but still! I have a bit of a tradition of watching all of my favorite television series’ Christmas episode while I take my decorations down. I love a good Christmas episode, I have a few of my favorites on deck for this year. The team inadvertently releases bio-hazard in the lab and has to be on lock-down through Christmas but that doesn’t stop them from solving a decades old murder and finding a way to still…

Blogmas Day 13: Vlogmas I’m Keeping Up With

Does anyone still do Vlogmas!? I thought that this list was going to be a bit longer but then I realized that only 2-3 of the Youtubers that I consistently watch are even daily vlogging this year. I can understand that it might get a little monotonous participating each year, I share the same blog posts each year for my Blogmas but I still think it’s fun so it does bum me out. Also though, it’s generally the OG’s who post for Vlogmas and they’ve been doing it for literally years so I guess that logic doesn’t follow. Anyway, what I am even talking about? Trisha is an OG and…

Blogmas Day 11: Holiday Movie Watch List

Guess what?! I have a rant and this time it’s about co-workers and I mostly don’t care who reads this because I work with quite a few ‘long-timers’ who have shitty attitudes and nobody wants to call them out on their bullshit. I think that my one big issue with working in the public sector is that people can sit in jobs and rot for literally decades without little to no concern about improving their skill set or having to compete for raises or promotions. I love my job, I love my schedule, I feel very lucky to have landed the job that I have but I also spent a…

    What I’m Watching

I realized that I am jumping the gun a little with the holiday posts and decided to slow my roll ๐Ÿ˜€ I’m that jerk who claims that they could take or leave Christmas, until I get the tree out and… I just struggle with the concept of the holiday, the Christian celebration compared to the commercial Santa cultural celebration as some people refer to it as. I don’t get it, everyone wants to celebrate Christmas but skip the asses in pews part? I think over half of Americans celebrate a non-religious holiday, again, as a modern society we pick and choose what traditions we eschew but Christmas will have to…

    Election Day Playlist

Well, it’s Election Day – who is ready for all of the political ads and junk mail to cease?! Political ad campaigns annoy the piss out of me, the more ads that a candidate runs is simply a reflection of how much cash they have to throw around. I think they are useless, if one is voting based on ads then they are doing it wrong and it’s insulting that they think the American voter can be so easily swayed. If you are headed to the polls today, you might be waiting for a bit, here are some tunes to get you fired up and distract you from the fact…

    A Little Life Update

Is my life very interesting? Absolutely not but it’s good for a chuckle every once in awhile and I wanted to post today even if it is a bit random ๐Ÿ™‚ First off, the Car Shopping Chronicles continue and I have looked at way too many cars in the last few weeks with nothing really feeling like the perfect new vehicle. I had taken a break from car shopping but about a month ago, I was at the grocery store and the power locks on my car don’t work anymore so I leave it open and empty of anything of value. I came out of the grocery store and someone…

Blogtober Day: XXXI – Final Night of Horror

Well, here we are, Happy Halloween! I hope that everyone had an amazing month of October and got to partake in some festivities and fun. I totally slacked off this year with watching horror movies, I just wasn’t feeling it for some reason but I think it’s mostly because I was out doing other things this year more than any other. That’s OK too but in an effort to redeem myself, I rounded up 31 of my favourite horror movies and here they are in no particular order! I actually hadn’t seen this movie until just last year, I am not a huge Depp fan but ended up enjoying this…

31 Nights of Horror: The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018)

Did I binge watch the entire 10 part series of this new Netflix original in one day? Yea, I totally did. Sabrina the Teenage Witch was an Archie comic about a witch (obviously) who has to navigate the perils of high school while getting up to hi-jinx with her aunts and familiar at home. In the same strain that Riverdale is loosely based on the original Archie’s, The Chilling Adventures are loosely based on the Sabrina comics. I was pretty disappointed in Riverdale, I think it’s a bizarre, totally off the wall adaptation and was expecting the same from this series. I’m sharing some spoilers so read no further if…

Blogtober Day: XXIV – Fall Television

Growing up, we didn’t watch a lot of television and there were long periods of time when we didn’t even have one. Having a television in my home isn’t something that I see as mandatory and though I don’t have one now, I love watching new shows in the fall and winter. It makes no sense but good thing I can do everything from my phone or else I would miss out on one of my fave cold weather rituals. I’m also pleased that one doesn’t even need cable any longer since Netflix, Hulu and Prime make most shows available and are producing some amazing shows on their own. Who…

31 Nights of Horror – The Ritual (2017)

Ch-ch-ch-kah-kah-kah. Get ready for a whole lotta’ that because we’re going camping and we’re getting lost, of course and someone’s probably gonna’ die. We meet Phil, Dom, Rob, Luke and Hutch on an ill-fated evening at the pub. The friends are talking about a hiking trip into the wilds of Sweden but ultimately decide against this. The evening at a close, Luke and Rob decide on a trip to a liquor store where they are robbed and Rob suffers a severe beating. Luke, gripped with fear is incapable of helping his friend and instead witnesses the grisly attack from his hiding spot. In the aftermath of Rob’s death, the group…
