    Oats, Yea!

Since I have been mostly mum on Veganuary after not being able to eat much of anything, I thought I’d share a little update on a plant-based product that I have been really enjoying. I figured that cheese and coffee creamer would be the two features of my diet that I would struggle the most with not eating. Cheese hasn’t been that big of a deal, most of the stuff that I make has been plenty flavorful and enjoyable without a pile of cheese – who knew? Coffee creamer on the other hand has been a bit of a chore. Nut milk doesn’t do it for me, I don’t like…

    Spring Releases Anti-Haul

I took a couple of days off from blogging because I didn’t realize that having these teeth removed would be such a giant pain in the ass. When I got home after surgery, I was just kind of sitting there thinking, this is fine. But then I fell asleep and woke up and it wasn’t fine, I have one infected socket and one dry socket which is extremely painful. Which, they told me the day of the procedure that it would be but I guess I didn’t believe them because it’s not like they are doctors or anything. I haven’t had solid food in like a week and have been…

What I Got (Myself) for My Birthday

I have no desire to get out of bed today, so apologies that all of these photos were taken from my bed πŸ˜› It’s amazing, it only took 25 minutes to have four teeth removed but the pain has lasted like 30 hours. I feel like there should be some correlation between the length of the procedure and recovery but that’s apparently too much to ask. Also, I haven’t had any caffeine in three days and it’s misery. However, I did not come onto my dentist under sedation so overall, I think it went pretty well. For today’s post, I am sharing my birthday haul, I hope that you enjoy!…

    The Beauty Fridge Arrived!

So, I was reading this article today about a case of child abuse in Minneapolis and I’m like – how hard is it to not abuse kids? Or animals for that matter, don’t have kids, don’t get a pet – it’s not like we are just issued these things and obligated to take care of them. It’s optional and it drives me nuts that people are so incredibly dumb. It just surprises me that people have to pass a test to become a US citizen but anyone can have kids or get a pet – there should be some kinda’ test to weed out the idiots. Especially in a case…

Hello, January: A Little Life Update

It was doom and gloom all weekend, aside from when I was working at ULTA and the sun was literally shining the most that it ever has in my entire lifetime and then it was dark when I left so, I didn’t get to take any blog photos. I know that I have been doing more chatty content and less product content lately but hopefully I can get some photos this week, in the meantime, let’s have a bit of a catch-up! Veganuary is in full swing and it’s been going fine, I say fine because it really hasn’t been a huge change since I don’t eat a lot of…

    NOTD: Bronze Age

Have you ever found out what someone does for a living and are like, yeah – that makes a lot of sense. Like 2nd Grade teachers or librarians, they tend to be a certain type of person. I found out that one of my neighbors is a mortician and I always got a vibe from this guy, like an Uncle Fester vibe and now, I totally get it. He’s not a weirdo, he’s just a mortician πŸ˜› I got my nails freshened up this evening, I am loving this dip powder manicure, my nails look a lot healthier than when I was wearing acrylics all of the time. I also…

When You’ve Only Got 100 Years to Live

Every year, I wake up on my birthday and have one of those Sixteen Candles moments where I assess myself in the mirror and expect a tangible change of some kind. Like, one day I am going to be this sophisticated woman who has all of her shit together, a closet stocked with an assortment of power suits, a briefcase, a British accent, a 4-door sedan – you know, all of the little things that I feel I should acquire at the ripe age of 32. And the breast thing, I have been waiting for that to happen for literally the last 17 years and I’m still fucking waiting πŸ˜›…

It’s Almost My Birthday, I Can Cry if I Want To…

What is that song even about? I only know the chorus but isn’t it about some gal whose boyfriend ditches her at her own birthday party and his name is like Jonny? Jonny?! Who goes by Jonny past the age of like 6, sounds like a dud anyway – probably a blessing in disguise that he dumped her. I have to listen to the song now. If you’re new here, my birthday is my day to celebrate me and treat myself – as it should be for everyone and I hope that you get to do so. I don’t ask for gifts, ever and prefer to just purchase what I…

    New Year, New Content?

Ah yes, with the ringing in of the New Year comes the commitment to live a renewed existence – 2019 is the year that we get fitter, smarter, stronger, healthier, more educated and dominate the world (just like the last 31 years). In all seriousness, there is something refreshing about the start of bright, shiny year that does make me want to make some kind of a change but I just can’t put my finger on what it is specifically. When I started this blog, it was strictly all things makeup and beauty, I soon realized that I had pigeon holed myself into a niche that didn’t totally define me.…

    See Ya 2018!

2018 was a year and though the passing of time can make me feel a bit melancholy, I’m glad it’s behind me and am looking forward to a bright, shiny 2019. While my year is ending in an incredibly different place than where it started, I am filled with a since of contentment and peace that’s actually pretty surprising. I’m ending the year with a little tag since this could get a little rambly and nonsensical if I let my emotions take the wheel πŸ˜› Going to Fleetwood Mac! It was a totally last minute outing, I had been waffling back and forth on going and then I couldn’t find…
