    Holiday’ish Wishlist

I have already said that I am not huge into Thanksgiving, I don’t get it, I don’t like pumpkin pie (or squash pie since that canned pie filling has like .00001% actual pumpkin), I’m skeptical of the whole story behind Thanksgiving – I Just have a lot of issues with the holiday. I think that this year I am just doing a ton of appetizers since I don’t eat turkey and the alternatives are pretty loathsome. Like, tofurkey? I mean, who thought of that? More like to-fuckery, I can’t do it. So, I’m looking through all of these appetizer recipes and like 90% of them are labeled; World’s Best, The…

Blogtober – Day IX: Holiday Wishlist

Would an anti-haul post be complete without a follow up wishlist? I think not. Now, I am more than likely not purchasing any of this, I have been using the same makeup items for a couple of months now and I think this is a sign that I don’t need more makeup or I am bored of it. I keep thinking that one day my lust for makeup will be sated but this has not happened. If brands would slow their roll with all of these releases, that would be great. Two things here, this palette is pretty boring and I cannot work with the ABH eyeshadow formula so why…

    Fall Anti-Haul

So, I put my Halloween decor up and some people might think that it’s too soon, I can respect that. A 3-month Halloween celebration might not be for everyone, no I take it all down on November 1. Or do I? I mean, you’d really never know, that shit could be up all year. Anyway, what I can’t respect and made me lose my shit while scrolling through social media is that brands are already releasing or at least issuing 2018 advent calendars. Are you kidding me!? Then I realized that it’s just about that time of year when brands start releasing all of their holiday collections and I figured…

Monday Must Have – KKW Beauty

Have you ever just been walking along, mostly minding your own business, thinking about the delicious things you are planning to eat for dinner when you full-on eat shit? Legit me leaving the craft store today. No ice, it had been raining so maybe my sandal was slick but still – talk about lame, falling down for no reason. Then, the person who you are with says, I think you should get screened for MS. Yes, THANK YOU for being so helpful. In their defense, they were with me the last time I fell down but it was on ice so I had good reason. I found some new additions to my…

First Impression Friday – The Zodiac Collection

I can’t lie, ColourPop has released so many new products lately that I got a little jaded and when I saw this new collaboration with Kathleen Lights, I was going to skip it. I didn’t think that the palette looked super wearable but now that I have seen it and swatched it, I know I am going to get a lot of wear out of it. I purchased the bundle and though I haven’t worn anything yet, thought I would share a little peek: This twelve pan palette has purples, blues, browns and a stunning black with gold sparkle. Now, I wasn’t totally sold on The Capricorn being a black…

    Anti-Haul (Of Products I Actually Want…)

We all know how this usually goes, I pick a handful of new releases and roast them for being impractical, overpriced, boring…blah, blah, blah. This Anti-Haul is a tad different as it’s a bunch of products that I truly want but just can’t justify purchasing. drybar x TooFaced Glitter Spritzer Sparkle Spray – You guys, it is freaking glitter hairspray – never has a product spoken to me quite like this. TooFaced is celebrating their 20th year anniversary with a bunch of sparkly products but this is the only one calling my name! The problem is, I don’t use hairspray, I probably wouldn’t use this up and would end up…

The Last Time I Lied: A Review

Spoilers ahead! I did it, I blazed through my BOTM pick for the month and I am almost a little bummed about it because they haven’t had much of an interesting selection these past few months. I chose The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager, I mostly liked his first book under this pseudonym, Final Girls and did a review on it here if you are interested! His second offering is a departure from the cheesecake horror genre which surprised me since the setting is at a summer camp a la Camp Crystal Lake and I was expecting somebody to get slashed. Emma Davis finds herself back at Camp Nightingale…

    Colourpop New Releases Haul!

Oh, ColourPop snatching my cash at every possible opportunity. If you didn’t know which I don’t know how one couldn’t, ColourPop recently released a new foundation that comes in a load of shades and only costs $12. I have watched a few reviews and they were consistently good so I decided to order some after a bit of hesitation. The hesitation was mostly a result of the fact that I just don’t need more foundation but I have a problem, the first step is admitting it. I didn’t know what shade to get and I have to say that in person, the two that I ordered look almost identical. I…

    Glossier Haul

Glossier – the brand that I am not nearly cool enough to use but keeps sucking me in with their flawless marketing and minimal chic aesthetic. Just take my money. I have been waiting to use up the rest of my tube of Boy Brow before I placed an order for their new mascara, it’s been a tense few weeks as I was sure that it would sell out but I was in luck. There were also a couple of new products that I have been waiting to try and some of them I anti-hauled but purchased anyway because I’m a jackass. Judge me later, let’s get to the goodies!!…

    Summer To Be Read

Ah, summer. Bees, sunburns, allergies, bees. I spent a lot of time indoors reading during the summer as a kid and to be honest, not a whole lot has changed since then. I take my chances with the bees these days and do read outside a lot more, usually in a full black ensemble and mosquito net, slathered in SPF 50 but I get outside 😛 Obviously, I don’t have as much free time now as I did then but I tend to read a lot more during the summer just out of habit and have quite a few books that I want to get through in the next couple…
